Boy, the last 10 days have been something else. It started out looking mighty grim, and the twists and turns made things very difficult, but she came through it and is home. It turns out her anemia was the complicating factor in this whole thing , and it remains the only pressing issue she has. Her PCV has stabilized in the mid 20's, and is currently at 24%. She is difficult to read though, and she acts the same at 12% as at 30%, so I need to keep a close watch. Certainly, she has the chronic inflammation, IBD and diabetes, but no cancer and nothing we haven't dealt with before.

Since coming home, she's been all over the house. She doesn't move quickly, but she has been everywhere. She has eaten, had a drink, and used the litterbox. She has laid down in all her typical spots trying to find the right place to rest. Right now, she's sleeping under my desk, which she never does. I'm still very anxious, but I guess that will fade over time as I put the last 10 days behind me. She has a follow up on Friday, and I think I'm going to arrange a schedule to check her PCV regularly. That should help us keep in front of the Mycoplasma.

I want to thank everyone here, because without you, I may have gone crazy this week. You kept me centered and focused, and gave me hope where I had none before. I don't know what's in store for Belle and I, but I do know that all the anxiety, time, and money spent this week was worth it.

I have a little video of her when she was greeted by my Callie.

Wow, Belle has such beautiful eyes.
They sure are nosey about that dreaded v-e-t smell, aren't they.

So glad that Belle is home, and letting everyone know she is still in charge! Poor thing , going to take some time to grow all that fur back!

She hasn't had fur on her belly for almost a year. She's been having regular ultrasounds for her kidney stones, asthma and heart disease so just as it starts back in, she's due for a recheck. Her front legs have been the same way for months, again from regular checkups and the occasional emergency room trip. Her rear leg fur needs to grow back now though. It's hard to look at those scrawny little legs!

So glad she's home again. I know she had excellent care and lots of visits from you, but being home is different. I hope she heals quickly!

It's such a relief to see and hear Belle is back home and checking out all her old spots and her stuff, deeming food, water, and LB acceptable.

It's so sweet to see Callie with Belle; I am sure in time, Belle will be more up to visitors.

I know it's hard to see the shaved belly and the patches on the legs as well, but when you look in the eyes, the rest just fades.

Belle is home again and it's a good day.

glad to see her home - she's under your desk, cause you are there and she wants to be near you, needing the comfort of her dad.

welcome home Belle, welcome home!

Thank you for that video Jason! That was great to see! I am SO happy for you all that she is home and with you again. I know it was awful for you...but that is behind you both! Enjoy her being there, close to you.
So happy!!

OMG, that video was adorable. What an irresistable belly! Ooohhh. One of Boomer's front paws looks like that too...it's the poodle look. I hope she continues to improve. I am SO happy she's home. Whew!

Thank you everyone. She has gotten lots of love tonight. Right now she's sleeping on the floor next to my desk. I think I'm going to sleep on the sofa in my office to keep an eye on her.
