Boy, the last 10 days have been something else. It started out looking mighty grim, and the twists and turns made things very difficult, but she came through it and is home. It turns out her anemia was the complicating factor in this whole thing , and it remains the only pressing issue she has. Her PCV has stabilized in the mid 20's, and is currently at 24%. She is difficult to read though, and she acts the same at 12% as at 30%, so I need to keep a close watch. Certainly, she has the chronic inflammation, IBD and diabetes, but no cancer and nothing we haven't dealt with before.
Since coming home, she's been all over the house. She doesn't move quickly, but she has been everywhere. She has eaten, had a drink, and used the litterbox. She has laid down in all her typical spots trying to find the right place to rest. Right now, she's sleeping under my desk, which she never does. I'm still very anxious, but I guess that will fade over time as I put the last 10 days behind me. She has a follow up on Friday, and I think I'm going to arrange a schedule to check her PCV regularly. That should help us keep in front of the Mycoplasma.
I want to thank everyone here, because without you, I may have gone crazy this week. You kept me centered and focused, and gave me hope where I had none before. I don't know what's in store for Belle and I, but I do know that all the anxiety, time, and money spent this week was worth it.
I have a little video of her when she was greeted by my Callie.
