I haven't been posting regularly lately mostly because the numbers haven't been all that exciting (though he did get into some green a few nights  but yellow seems to be his go-to color).

But I did just receive a new automatic feeder! It is the yellow one with the LCD timer display, 4 chambers, can record yourself calling kitty for din-din. I still need to get the batteries and figure out exactly what to put the food in since I don't want to just put it in the plastic - too hard to clean?! And now I need to figure out how many mini meals to give. I think I'll try it on a day when I'm home to make sure it is opening when it should, so probably have to wait until Sat or try it one evening.

Any advice is appreciated!

Hi guys .. hey, remember condos are more then just numbers .. we like to hear how sweetie is doing ... how she's eating, playing, stuff like that .. it gives us a better overall understanding of your baby .. Good luck with the auto feeder .. we have one as well, different then what you are describing but we have used it multiple times without any problems .. have a great day!

Those were some nice greens for a couple of nights, maybe Sweetie just needs an extra day to clear the bouncies.

I'm not sure about the feeder you have , but some members have gotten those small glass prep bowls which fit in the compartments, dollar store I think. You just have to experiment to see what will fit. Ceramic or glass is best, because some cats can get an allergic reaction to eating out of plastic.

Cathy, I've got one of those feeders. A couple of tips. First, do NOT use the recorder feature unless you really want to hear it all the time. It plays wen you set it up, and a couple of times when it rotates. Once you set it to something, I haven't figured out how to turn it off. So I re-recorded silence but it still has a bit of sound. Second, the manual that comes with the machine isn't great. The manufactures website has a downloadable one that is a bit better. And I found some small ceramic bowls that fit nicely in the feeder. And are easier to clean than the big plastic piece. I just took the plastic piece to the store and tried fitting them that way.

I use mine for two mini meals (+1 and +2) per cycle.

Greens are nice, that yellow is not a bad start for Sweetie. At least his go-to colour is not pink like a cat I know well.

Hi Cathy, good luck with the feeder! We got a very simple one, the cat mate c20. I got it because I heard it was quieter than the other ones, but it doesn't have the cool voice recorder that yours dose.

Hope Sweetie gets to some blue later!

Re: 5/1 Sweetie AMPS=267; new auto feeder questions

Sorry, but I know nothing about auto feeders...

Sweetie has a very interesting SS....seems like the best run of numbers are at night; correct?

With regard to if I am doing something different with Gobbles regime: I finally had decided to hold an increase for less time if his numbers were still kind of high--increase again. And recently am trying to hold his decreases for a longer time. I've also shot very early at times, but DO NOT try that on your own-- seek the advice of an advisor if you ever decide that you may want to try it. ( please forgive the caps but I don't want to endanger Sweetie)

Have a lovely evening

Thanks for the input everyone!

@Devon: Sorry! It's just that I was sooooo very obsessed with the board for the first month and I was ignoring other duties including things like cooking dinner for the kids  so I've been spending less time here lately. You are right that it is fun to get to know each other through the tidbits about ourselves and kitties. And I need to get a profile done this weekend to help make up for the lack!

@Ann: We got a new dollar store in town so I'll try that tonight or tomorrow - thanks for the tip!

@Wendy: So glad you warned me about the recording: I feed him in my bathroom which is right next to my bedroom - hope the dish isn't too noisy when it turns! Still need to get those C batteries... Neko, now you need to stay away from stinky pinky! (Sweetie sometimes gets into that color too)

@Courtney: I hope this feeder isn't too noisy since it will be right near my bed - if it will fit even fit in the bathroom! It is soooo much bigger than his normal bowl, and between the cat box, water dish, bathtub, shower, toilet, etc I'm a little concerned how it will fit so that I don't trip over something

@Kat: I'll be careful not to put Sweetie in danger, but it is good to know what you've done lately. Perhaps I stay too long at a dose because there was some green 2 or 3 cycles earlier; I'm never sure just when I should increase if there is a little bit of green. And I'm hoping that by evening out his meals morning and evening and creating mini meals he can get more even AM and PM cycles.

Now it is time to get the PMPS!
