You can, but I wouldn’t for right now. You are trying to break some glucose toxicity. Once that is accomplished, should you need to up the dose in the future, it’s good info to have that it may not show up right away. For now though, Mouse isn’t spending enough time in blues and greens and as soon as one comes, off it goes again. I would increase every 7th cycle until things change. Waiting an extra 2 cycles is giving her permission to get comfortable in a dose that isn’t doing it for her.
I would also try, particularly in the day if it’s easier for you, to scatter around your tests a little bit as opposed to getting +6 and +8, after some time, it will fill in some blanks and give a better picture of what her overall cycles look like. I know you have done this in the past, but what once was doesn’t mean it is that way now, cats change and so do their patterns. As she approaches lower numbers, you want a reasonable idea of where her nadir is, even if it moves around, it’s useul to see what happens.
Also, you can try getting a +1 or +2 when you have a lower preshot, like today, and it can give you an idea of how the cycle might play out. Do you know when the insulin starts to kick in after her shot? If you don’t, having a test early in the cycle and moving it around on different days until you find out will be helpful. If you already know, that’s where you want to test to get a preview of the cycle.
