Beautiful start!

It’s good that you know her patterns like that, it will serve you well. It is tricky, even when you find a dose that works, keeping the blues and greens at first can be a challenge, but there are many tricks to try and I’ve tried most of them myself.

How’s she feeling? Any better, different, more alert, eating more or less than before? That’s really my favorite part is when they start getting better numbers and you just know they are feeling good. Sometimes it doesn’t feel good at first, because they are not used to it as it’s been so long since they were in normal numbers all the time. If that happens, try not to worry, it’s very temporary. :)

So, I can hold the dosage for more than three days, if I think a drop is going to happen? It's uncanny, how we can predict a drop, even though the data doesn't back us up at the moment.

She has started to play around 5:30 am & pm. knocks around a bizzy ball, rounds around playing at the air, and then bats a fabric snake around . fifteen minutes of that, and she conks out. Yellow numbers have brought out the playfulness in her. Happy to see it.

You can, but I wouldn’t for right now. You are trying to break some glucose toxicity. Once that is accomplished, should you need to up the dose in the future, it’s good info to have that it may not show up right away. For now though, Mouse isn’t spending enough time in blues and greens and as soon as one comes, off it goes again. I would increase every 7th cycle until things change. Waiting an extra 2 cycles is giving her permission to get comfortable in a dose that isn’t doing it for her.

I would also try, particularly in the day if it’s easier for you, to scatter around your tests a little bit as opposed to getting +6 and +8, after some time, it will fill in some blanks and give a better picture of what her overall cycles look like. I know you have done this in the past, but what once was doesn’t mean it is that way now, cats change and so do their patterns. As she approaches lower numbers, you want a reasonable idea of where her nadir is, even if it moves around, it’s useul to see what happens.

Also, you can try getting a +1 or +2 when you have a lower preshot, like today, and it can give you an idea of how the cycle might play out. Do you know when the insulin starts to kick in after her shot? If you don’t, having a test early in the cycle and moving it around on different days until you find out will be helpful. If you already know, that’s where you want to test to get a preview of the cycle. ;)

Her PMPS is 132, do I go ahead and give her 2.0 units?

As long as you are able to monitor tonight and have higher carb food or honey to bring her numbers up if needed, I would. She may bounce, but this is the kind of momentum you need, lower preshots, to get her used to normal numbers again. :cat:

I have higher carb powder, (I freeze dry the food, and sprinkle it on fav foods), honey never works. corn syrup, nah.
I'll go ahead with 2.0.....cross fingers

Her +1 & +2 are higher, ever since she was diagnosed. Lately, +3, sometimes +4 are the same. goes along with her late nadirs.

But it wasn’t on 4/21 PM cycle, or 2/23 AM cycle. They like to keep us guessing. ;) She also doesn’t seem to me to have late nadirs in the PM cycles at least, they are likely moving around, but it’s good to get a general idea now, even if you have data from long ago, because they can and do switch it up.

Whatever you have on hand that can get her numbers up that you know works is absolutely fine, as long as you have something. Honey never did it for Asia either.
