Morning! I don't know if I did a fur shot for the pm shot, but it seems evident now that Maggie needs a fattened dose. I did what I think is a .10, and I know I shot, as I can tell when I withdraw the needle. I hope this will get her numbers into a more normal range. She was doing so well that I now wonder what went wrong! I have a gut feeling it might be her teeth. I keep getting reminders from her Vet about the oral dental due the end of the month, so I think I will take her in about the third week of this month. Do our sugar kitties have more problems with their teeth than non-diabetic kitties?

oh yes on the teeth and FD kitties. Mannie never ever had dental issues until he entered the land of FD- all that sugar, all that tartar buildup as a result - it's all I can do to keep on top of it. Now we are in twice a year for dental cleanings. I wish he'd let me brush his teeth - uh no way in his book. It very well could be what is causing Maggie's numbers to creep up some. Good luck!

Hi Michelle, looking back, Maggie has had two dentals, and it's only one and a half years for her since being diagnosed with FB. I hope that's what is causing her spike; I mean I'm not hoping she has to go thru a dental, by any means, but at least then there would be an explanation. No way will Maggie let me brush her teeth either! She must be conversing with Mannie on that one.

Well, maybe the fattened dose is helping, as now she is down to a high blue - I'll take it!

Good thing to check out because these are definitely not Maggie numbers! Agree with fattening the dose but seeing the vet, too. Hope you have a super day.

Fingers crossed, hopefully the added drop dose is what Maggie needed. She's coming down slowly. Mags will still go in for a dental exam in a few weeks or sooner.
