Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) A Mocha Valencia today... a little orange, a little vanilla, and mega chocolate! and a little espresso too....

I know alot of people have wondered about Elsa, how's she doing, how she's coping without Mannie, and more than likely what he looks like. So.... I took a few photos of her yesterday. We had a gorgeous afternoon, with an abundance of Mannie's sunbeams. Perhaps he sent them so I could get some really nice photos of his sister. :-D  She seems to be doing well, but I truly think she misses him. She's spending alot more time with us, looking for that lap, a little attention, maybe reassurance that all is well. So we try, She's sure been helping me in those moments when sadness creeps back in. We had a great pet and scritch and snuggle time on the sofa last night. That made us both happy. We seem to be in need of a new barista here in LL, I wonder if she's interested.... I dunno! she's more of an ice cream gal. ;-) Here's the Picassa link to her photos: Elsa

I hope everyone has a great day today. I'm back to DGS duty til Friday. Nicholas and I are off to the pool today. It is a gorgeous sunny day here, so I really hope we can get outdoors too. I will try and visit condos when I can. Surf well Kitties! Think blue, think green!

She's so beautiful!!! Now that I see her, she REALLY reminds me of "Elsa" from "Born Free", which I always think of when I see her name.

Have fun with the fishie!

Hi, Michelle, Elsa is so pretty! I love that face ~ her eyes are very expressive.
I hope you have a great swim day!
Enjoy those sunbeams from Mannie!

~O) :-D ~O)

Awww what beautiful pics of Elsa. She is such a sweetie. I have been wondering how she is doing. I think about the whack-a-thons your three used to have and the kitty wake up choir led by BJ.

Have a great great day at the pool and outside!

Hi Michelle,
Today the photos downloaded just fine. Elsa is a beautiful kitty and looks very mellow and wise. I 'm glad she is taking good care of you!
Enjoy your pool day with Nicholas.

Hugs, Scritches for ELsa,

Ella & Rusty

Beautiful pictures of Miss Elsa! She's definitely an adorable tortoiseshell. I'm sure that Mannie sent those sunshine rays to help show off her beautiful coat. Thank you for sharing! :-D {{{{{MICHELLE}}}}}

Another tortie girl! Personality-wise, she sounds like Gabby -- quietly affectionate. I have a special place in my heart for those multi-color kitties.

I recently learned that torties tend to bond heavily to one person. Didn't know that all those years with my ds's cat.
makes sense now.

Hope Elsa continues to help you feel better!

Nice pics! I love how colorful she is and the green/red shrubs in the background enhancing her colors.

Hmmmm, ice cream gal....well I LOVE ice cream and wouldn't that be a lovely treat first thing in the morning. Think of all the possibilities she could create.

What a pretty girl Elsa is  hope you and Nicholas gave a wonderful day

Hi Michelle and awww......Elsa is a beauty! I love her colors, and she looks like a sweet, loving personality. I bet she does miss Mannie just the way she is spending more time with you and wanting to comfort you.
Have a wonderful day with Nicholas. That coffee drink sure does sound good.

Nice photos of Elsa - and what a beautiful yard and day!

Ice cream AND coffee - a nice way to start a summer day :-D

wow, beautiful photos of a beautiful girl .. another barista would be nice, but I can understand the girls love of ice cream :-D

What a beautiful coat! Mannie knew just where to send those sunbeams so she could pose w/ the perfect background. I'm glad you two are there to comfort each other. Have fun w/ Nicholas!

Hi Michelle

If Elsa is passing out ice cream in the morning, I'll be in line too. I'll have coffee flavor, please. :-D
She is gorgeous, Michelle. That is no where near the color I imagine. She is much richer in color. Your photography emphasizes that. Ilove the photos.
Ohhhh, I want to reach out and snuggle with her soft squooshy fur. cat_pet_icon

Have a great time today. :-D

Hi everyone! Nicholas and I have just come back from the pool. THE FISH was in his element once again. I think we did everything there was to do there, all the water works and slides, the big pool, jumping and tossing and just plain fun. 2.5 hours of wet stuff. I am amazed that a 2 year old has such energy. But I will laugh: he gets towards the end of his lunch and he's out like a light, half eaten strawberry dangling from his mouth.  Needless to say I hauled him home and laid him down for a nap.... Along with a bittersweet memory of Mannie being right there with him, cuddled up next to him on the blankie. What a wonderful memory that is. Who knows... he could be there in spirit sawing those logs right along in tune with Nicholas. :-D

THX everyone on the photos of Ellsa. She is my special tortie girl, and very true to the tortie literature: affectionate, fiercely loyal, quiet, quite the bonder. She's independent, almost sometimes to the point of being aloof. In the middle of that lies a heart of gold, a master cuddler, purrs as nice as Mannie's. She will be 17 in a few months. She and Mannie were about 6 month apart, adopted at the same time from a local shelter. As near as we can tell she was feral before the shelter got her. well, so we were told on the feral part... not too sure that I buy that. But I do know she is a keeper.

HI Amy - THX! I think she is a gorgeous tortie girl too. WOW on the Born Free association. I think so too!

Hi Josie - THX, I think so too, she has quite the expressive face, along with head tilts that match, I will have to see if I can get some pics that show that. YUPP: we are enjoying Mannie's sunbeams - he has sent lots today! :-D

Hi Melissa - THX on the pics. She's doing OK. I think I worry about ti more than she does. oh yes... me too on the whack-a-thons and then that kitty choir! I so miss those days, but the memories are good too.

Hi Ella - YAY on the download! I am sure it did, as there weer just a couple of photos. Not like the albums I do, which are huge, I would agree on Elsa: mellow and wise, and loyal. She's a great kitty.

Hi Angela - You could be right on Mannie sending those sunbeams, just to show her off. THX on the pics - I thinks she's a beauty too.

HI Sienne - that she is, and true to her breed. Yes, that she is quietly affectionate: a very fitting description. That and very loyal, a bit of a loner at times, but she sticks clsoe to those she loves. I love torties!

HI Rhiannon - Yes, I have to agree to that - they do bond, and are fiercely loyal. That does fit her, very well. AHd yes she is: helps me everyday. She's been good at it too!

Hi Hillary - THX - the sun did alot to show off her coat. Very full, and vibrant in the sun. Hmmmmmmmmmmm - I LIKE IT! ice cream in the morning. Cheery ice cream. This has possibilities!

Hi Kathie - THX! I thinks he is too. Nicholas and I are to a great start - very fun times in the pool!

Hi Ann - THX! She has such rich oranges ad golds in her coat, a nice mix too with the black. She is very affectionate too, it is becoming more apparent since Mannie has passed. I think so too on missing Mannie, and that is allowing her to be more social with us, comforting type of social. oh me too on that coffee drink... might need bother!

Hi Cathy - THX on all counts! She's gorgeous and we got so lucky with the weather when I went to take the photos. THX Mannie! I agree: ice cream and coffee... could be a good drink to be made of that too.

Hi Devon - I think so too - we so need a barista, but i dunno.... that ice cream thing sounds very promising!

Hi Ann - that he did! Another case where it got very suntan when I went to take the photos. ah Mannie... you did good. Me too n having here. She's been very good at it.

Hi Barb - I so agree on the ice cream. Funny - coffee flavor is my fav too. THX on Elsa - She has an awesome coat, very rich in color, and full. Not bad for a 17 yr old huh! Thx so much too on the pics. :-D

Hi Michelle! Elsa is such a beautiful girl, I think she'd make a great barista! Maybe she can specialize in iced/dessert coffees since she is an ice cream kind of girl. ;-)

Glad you and Nicholas had a good time at the pool!

Elsa is so beautiful. Those are great pictures of her. I'm glad she is there to help comfort you. It has always helped me to have other kitties around when I lose one of mine.

I'm glad you and Nicholas had a good day at the pool. That's funny on him falling asleep halfway through his lunch.

Hi Linda - THX! I think he coloring is unique too find it different yet very pretty. It is cool on the 17 - she's in very good health too! :-D

Hi Courtney - THX! Hey - maybe she'll take that on - a barista, like that dessert aspect. ;-) Me too on the pool - it was a blast.

Hi Carla - THX! I so agree on that - I miss Mannie something fierce, and she's been so good about sticking around. It sure makes those moments when the sadness hits so much better. It is such a comfort. THX on Nicholas - I know on the lunch. it was all I could do not to laugh. he was so tired... and just couldn't chew that berry.  drool.............
