Hello world! Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening to you. It is morning for Hendrick and I. Wifey is sound asleep. He took quite a drop from 102 to 61 at +2 today! That's like 40%, whoa. But knowing him he'll level right off. He got a 0% carb snack at +2.

Will check again pretty soon. I bet he's in the 60s though. If he drops in to the 50s he'll start meowing and come looking for food.

Hope y'all feel better soon. Keep kicking it Hendrick!

Thanks Patty! I think I am ever so slightly better today and my wife is much better.

Came across this picture of a long since GA fur buddy of mine, Rygel. What freaking amazing eyes he had

He died at 9 years old completely out-of-the-@#$% blue at 2am on a Friday night. Sleeping on my wife's chest on the couch, he suddenly made a horrible noise and stopped breathing. We rushed him to the ER Vet (even though he had no pulse and we knew it was probably pointless). They confirmed no obvious sign of death no airway obstruction, probably just an aneurysm.

He sure was beautiful.

and a purr-sonality that exceeded his physical appearance in it's beauty, just a total "people-cat" as my mom would say, he would follow me around the house to watch whatever I was doing, meow at me for pats and to be picked up and cuddled, come running to greet me at the door when I got home.

oh crap where's a tissue

I'm so sorry Kyle, what a gorgeous boy, how terribly sad. ♥
Hen is doing great, I'm glad to hear you and your wife are feeling better :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Here is a pic of Tyler's brother Perry who broke my heart when I had to let him go.
He was my special heart kitty.
I named both of them after my favorite rock band Aerosmith :p
Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. I sure gave Tyler the right name because he never shuts up :p
I'll never have another kitty like Perry, he loved me so much. He was so different than Tyler
He passed on 10-16-20

Aaaw! What a beautiful boy. At least he didn't suffer a long, protracted illness. But 9 is way too young to go! I had a white kitty, many moons ago, named Rigel! Great minds... ;)

Thanks @Suzanne & Darcy yeah I always tell myself that, at least he didn't suffer, never got old and sick, he had a great great life and was healthy as can be, had just been for a recent checkup and given a clean bill of health a month or so before that.

The most horrible part of all is that we had been on a trip to visit my wife's family in Australia. We were gone for 3 weeks. He missed us so -- we have family over every other day to feed and water and play and pat but it's not the same. He died 1 week after we got back from that trip.

So out of the last month of his life, I missed 75% of it.

whatcha gonna do, eh. Can't change it but it hurts to think about.

Wife is mostly better I'm still sick this cold is kicking my butt.

I am sorry you are still sick. Get a lot of rest if you can. That is really sad about you two being gone for those three weeks before he died. I had a cat who I found dead under my dresser one morning. He was fine the night before. The vet thought that he must have had a heart attack or something. We will never know. I really had a hard time dealing with it. I kept telling myself those same things… at least it was quick, etc. but I had no sense of closure. I never got to say goodbye.
