Hmmm.... I was making the raw turkey. I turned to see him lying down on the pads next to the litter boxes. Very odd. Just about to take a +3...

There are a few possible reasons for the numbers going up.

1. The tests are within meter variance and could be the same number, which means he is surfing there.
2. Sniff the injection site if the next test is higher. It could mean a partial fur shot.
3. He went lower last night than he is used to and this is a bit of a bounce.
4. He onset a little later today and the next number will come down.
5. He snuck some of the other cat's dry food.
6. Some combination of the above.
7. He is a cat and their job is to confuse us.

My vote is for the latter. Cats are unpredictable.

Yeah - it seems he's taking his job seriously! :D

I actually DID sniff today... that's why I'm almost sure I didn't miss - didn't smell anything that smells like (I think it was Chris who described it as bandaids - an apt description, btw!) Personally, I don't think the stuff smells like scotch - but maybe 'cause I don't go around sniffing scotch! :)

I really do doubt he snuck any dry food. His appetite's good this morning, but he's not showing any of the signs that his body did, when he used to do that in the past (he'd eat the dog kibble too at one point). Nowadays, he really seems uninterested. When he's hungry and it's not food time, he drinks water...
I'm guessing it's maybe a later onset - but won't know for a couple of hours, I guess. I COULD have missed - but was pretty sure I got it in there at the time, and did sniff (just 'cause we'd talked about it yesterday).

This boy is just TRYING to mess with me!

Als0 - we did add S.Boulardii back to his meds, and it's his 2nd day on the methylcobalamin/folic acid, which does have a TINY bit of lactose...

JUST when I thought I was getting the hang of these numbers! Sheesh!!!

Looks like I didn't miss! down to 140. Guess it WAS #4 as you listed it @Wendy&Neko!
NOW... to see if he'll eat...... THANKS!!!
OMG! He ate well at 140!!! I wonder if it's the new methylcobalamine, or if it's extra S. Boulardii for his diarrhea... Anyway - yay!

He's never been this low 145 at PMPS - I'm sure it'll peak in a bit - but although the doc and I talked about .75 today, I think this one'll be .5.

Good choice for tonight. I'd still make sure he has food to munch on tonight. Some kitties will do a Lantus double dip, where they'll do a mini dip at the end of the cycle, but not as low as the nadir of the main cycle. That's likely what you saw today.

Thank you. I worry, he went to 121 at +2 from pm shot. I gave food, and there's some dry (that's all I can leave that'll not get eaten by others), but he's extremely unlikely to eat it. I did make sure he ate late, and as much as I could get him to eat, and I supplemented with the viyo recuperation supplement.

I appreciate knowing this isn't that unusual though @Wendy&Neko , and that it's a known thing.

I'm resisting the urge to bump his sugar though. I feel like that might screw him up worse.

Thank you.

Edit: when I realized he was wandering off, I suckered in and gave him a little milk. He loves it, it doesn't affect his digestion, and it has some carbs... Maybe to give a boost. I need to sleep, so I feel a little less worried that way.

Eegie had very bad diarrhea and vomit this morning. I thought maybe he was way too low. Turns out, he's quite high!

Albon had been improving his diarrhea (had been taking it for cystitis). The liquid is very high in sauger, but doc thinks it's the med IN suspension that works on diarrhea (they make a pill, but he doesn't think it'll work as well) going to start Albon this morning (boulardii intensive treatment isn't helping after a day and 1/2, and it usually does).

As my doc put it, do I want a cat with diarrhea using .75, or do I want a cat with firm strolls using 1 unit?

First he'll get his .75 in 45 minutes.
