I’ll be out of the house for most of the day time cycle today, going to get outside and go on a “social distancing” hike with my mom and her dog. I’ve been off work and home for seven weeks now and I’m going pretty stir crazy so I need some fresh air and sunshine! Our Governor of California has beaches and state parks closed, but we found a regional wilderness park that is still open, has hills and hills of California poppies in bloom right now! Fingers crossed we’re able to hike today, I’ll post pictures if so!

WOW Sarah! That looks like something out of a magazine! SO beautiful!! I'm so glad you were able to get out of the house and go for a hike in a beautiful place! It's truly the best medicine - to get out and restore yourself by connecting with nature!
Blaze is looking good! Tell him he's a good boy! And to keep up the good work. I'm so sorry to hear things are so rough in CA...I keep hoping as the weather improves, so will this pandemic!

It was BEAUTIFUL there. I couldn’t believe how many orange poppies and purple wildflowers covered the hills. It was a great hike, nice to get outside and get some sunshine and fresh air. It was much needed.
I’m back home with Mr. Blaze and he’s being a good boy
now I’m relaxing the rest of the evening. I’m pooped from the hike today! Have a great evening Sue!

It was about 45 minutes to an hour drive, not far at all! I’m pretty centrally located in California, about an hour to the Bay Area (San Francisco) and an hour the other way, to the mountains. Makes it easy to get to lots of beautiful places

Our provincial health officer is encouraging people to go outside, which keeping physically distant of course. It's supposed to be great for mental health. Hard for us to find uncrowded parks, but did manage to get the kayaks out on the ocean last week.

I definitely think getting outside is good for our mental health! Being home for seven weeks now, i really needed some fresh air and sunshine! We’re encouraged to get outside and exercise also, some state parks and regional parks are open for hiking. Beaches are completely closed right now.
