We won't mention Cleo's LB aim from last night. Let's just say she was a disappointment to her team ;-)

She ate 1/2 can FFLC. Then out on patio to preen and take a nap - what a tough life :razz:

Haven't heard anything from DD yet. I am hoping that their house finally got a good night's sleep. Thanks for all the good wishes for her and Alison. DD had a great visit with her OB yesterday. She just loves him. Always takes his time, answers all questions. Never feels rushed at the visit. And he is the only doc in the practice, so you know he will be the one delivering. His main concern is DD uterus, which is not in the best shape. He does not want her to start any true contractions, so if the ones that she reguarly feels, change in intensity/timing, off to ER she must go. She is on Procadia to lessen them. He is very blunt about what the worse case secnerio would be.
More good news: She has to go for weekly contraction monitering (i think the er visits should cancel this out); and weekly ultrasounds. Yesterdays US showed Alison practicing breathing! Also, she is over 5 lbs - she would be a big girl if she went to term (6/29)! Of course that is from DD gestational diabetes, and another reason they have to take her early. Big baby not good for her uterus.

Cleo, are you trying to get the boot from the team? Better aim next time!

That is a lot of baby monitoring...sounds like everything is going as well as can be expected. I don't have children...so it is a bit over my head. :smile: Have a great day!

Hi guys .. uh oh cleo, what happened to your aim? Better luck today I guess! I hope that your DD and her family got a better nights rest last night .. and that your DGS is feeling better too .. It sounds like everything is being done to help your new DGD be in perfect health when she arrives .. have a great day!

Was able to get an out the door test! For some reason, I cannot change my SS from my work computer.

I suspect it's not a bounce. However, it may be a high before a break. Let's see what Cleo has in store tomorrow.

I had given Cleo Friskies Mixed Grill for dinner, one of her old favs. Never checked the carbs. they are listed at 11%, higher than her usual 4 -5%. Wonder if this is helping her numbers go high?

Also, found that she loves the FF appetizers, but couldn't find the carb content on Dr. Lisa's list. Anyone know?

They are supposedly in the 0% - 1 % range. I thought they were raising Shadow but I tried going without them and her numbers didn't change so I think they really are low.

The 11% could be keeping Cleo up higher....
it's all about experimenting to find out what one food does vs another.
Some proteins raise cats higher than other proteins.... it's another one of the ECID things.

I have found that Shadow does better on some of the 8% foods than she does on the 2%. She isn't as carb sensitive as other cats.
Good luck figuring it out... it's not always easy.

Well, drat! As Rhiannon said, ECID so just look at this as a chance to gather data on how Cleo responds to this food. She sure is lucky to have such a great bean. :-D We did laugh out loud at her being a disappointment to the team on the LB aim. :roll: :lol:

Thanks Rhiannon, I think I will check out the carbs on any flavors she hasn't had since diagnosed. There are stil quite a few Friskies in there. Mixed Grill was always one of her favorites, and she has been grazing at it for a good part of the night.

She loves the FF appetizers. Going to try and use them to make the testing capture easier. ;-)

Anne, we have bought yet another litter box :o :shock: :o and she has not "missed" so far today. I hope she is good overnight - she is drinking alot. Our garage looks like a litter box store.

Hubby is up first at 4:15, he will do the litter box check (and clean up) so ...........he may not test or shoot, but he can clean pee, poop, and upchuck as good as I can :lol:

Cleo has TWO great beans! :-D I didn't test or shoot either until Anne went to the ER one night with gall bladder trouble and I had to shoot and test by myself. My hands were shaking so badly I almost couldn't do it. :lol: Get your butt in that box, Cleo!
