Re: BUD PMPS 109 NEED SOME HELP, PLEASE!
My decision to reduce to 0.8u (from Costa Rica-'m home now.) Just seamed that there were just too many wide swings in BGs - WAY too many reds and some yellows that made no sense to me.
As for not feeding her between tests yesterday: I felt like it' was the food that could have been contributing to the spikes in her BG and want to get her on set feedings and away from free feed. Also, I have a feeling that one or more cans of the LC we're feeding may not be as LC as we think. The type name does not match exactly that in the canned charts but there is nothing else close. So, I'm going to figure out which ones are suspect (as soon as I recover from the trip) and omit those from her diet. Kara seemed to have noticed this too. I'm almost to the point of just feeding her chicken breast and fish.
I did try to stay awake last night and get some more BGs but couldn't even get out of bed to set an alarm to get up. Sorry... bad mom, here.
I think it's a bounce too, but WHY at night? She went down only to 60 during the day. BUT was a huge drop from the 311. Then the PMPS was VERY nice.
I'd like to drop her down to 0.7 but she's only been on 0.8 for 6 cycles and I'm leary that it would not be enough and she'd rise.
She LOOKS GREAT! and is acting wonderfully! The best she's looked since being diagnosed. Kara did a great job.
On an aside: The vet feels that 'normal' BG is 100-180
