Truman's last 4 bs numbers (before meal) have been under 200. He had a hypo episode earlier in the week. Should I be concerned or happy? I am going to be with him tomorrow and I will do a curve then. Unfortunately, I am camping and have no internet unless I run home so if I don't post right away, that is the reason.

I'm new to this so I'm probably not reading your ss right. But it looks to me like you gave him insulin a few times when he was too low?

Some of the lower preshot numbers should have had lower doses used. It may be a good idea yo set up a sliding scale, which means you would give different doses based on the prehot number.
I am going to tag a couple of people @Sharon14 @Sue and Oliver (GA) and see if they are around to give some some experienced advice on the best way to do this/

I had been advised after his hypo to give him 1 unit and reset him. I guess I'm surprised he's not higher.

After the hypo numbers dropping the dose back to 1.0 unit is a good idea. It would be good to find a dose that you could shoot both AM and PM without putting him back into hypo numbers. Some kitties become more sensitive to insulin after a hypo. Is he still getting the Prednisolone for his asthma? If so it would be good to put a note in the comments section of the S/S on the days you give it.

Wow. You've definitely given some shots at low levels. It looks like even 1 unit is too high...

Are you usually around during the day to monitor? He's still a little higher than we'd like sometimes, but not really high enough to give insulin. I'm wondering if maybe giving a drop or 2 might be something to consider when he's around 180 or higher. But I wouldn't even consider it unless you were home to monitor.
