4/8 Condo

Still in the blues, but not too high AND this is the lowest AMPS in awhile. The late snacks are working. Still looking for advice on the best timing and amount to feed for the mini meals.

Gross Alert! Definitely both deposits in the LB, She went in while I was checking out the board after the +9:30 snack. I could smell it in the living room. I went BTB, got up for preshot, fed her, gave the shot and still smelled poo. I checked her butt and POO-BERRY! Ack! She had been in my lap at least twice! Showertime!!!!!

Still trying to introduce tooth brushing. She did lick the paste off the brush today, believe it or not that's progress.

Tess has been a bit grumpy, probably all the extra testing the last couple of days. Also, the down side of the late night snack is that she doesn't come to get us up in the morning. I miss that.

Had to laugh at the gross alert. Mine like to get back into bed with their little smelly attachments.

Talbot seems to complain more about ear pokes the less we poke. He hardly says anything if we check several times a day, but go down to twice a day and he grumbles and complains each time.

LOL Scrabble did a big poo this morning right after he ate and had a little on his fur after too, hahaha, I laughed when I read this! Glad I am not the only one! Looks like Tess is having a good day!!

Nice AMPS Tess It might be blue, but its normal range blue now.

With two of mine being fuzzy butts, I can sympathize with the Poo-berry butts. ohmygod_smile

Michele, this was not a Little bit of poo! Thinking back, I'm glad Tess didn't come BTB w/ me this morning.

She has also decided that since she always gets brushed after breakfast, she should be brushed after each mini version too! Smart Kitty! flip_cat

She did it! Tess gave up her beloved .1u. flip_cat flip_cat flip_cat !!!!! She cleaned up 3rd breakfast in record time.

She was very playful after +2 snack. We found her catnip blanket and got all the shredded cardboard out of the trackball. She has really been at the scratcher lately. It took nearly 2 months for hew claws to grow out after stupid ex-vet took them back to practically nothing.

Good while it lasted, +6~121. Tess usually goes up about now though. Will feed and test again at +9:30, unless advised to test sooner. I'm sure she will come back down again, I hope it is soon and for a longer time.

Hi Ann-

I just looked at your SS, I can't believe that small change made her more blue. Like I was saying yesterday jokingly, the dosing is really hard. In my syringes .25=3 drops, but not all. Now that I'm counting drops I can see the differences in syringe callabration. Consistancy can be challenging!

Hi Ann, Tess' numbers look great! I'm going to try the PMPS +9 snack idea on Stu. It looks like it is working fine. (But I don't think he likes the auto feeder very much; he's such a creature of habit.)

I ended up with a +8 snack that worked better for Raja....

Well, the day started of well enough. She did come down a little from the snack. Maybe it's too late, I'll try +9 tonight, or should I go for +8?

I know it is still an OK number and to give it a little more time. I just hope third time is the charm. :sad:

I have not paid enough attention.. but I think that when I feed Baby at +8, I get better preshot #s -- +9 shows higher... again.. I have not collected/observed data to tell, but off hand.. it really looks that way..

I know you are looking for a green SS though & I am happy with anything considered normal.. so we may be satisfied with different #s :mrgreen:

When to feed a mini-meal is largely a matter of trial and error. I would decide on one and feed consistently for a few days and see how it goes. Then switch. I think that's probably the best way to be able to compare. Also, keep the amount of food consistent. I would think that between 1/8 - 1/4 can of FF would be fine. It's probably a matter of whether you're feeding a meal or a snack.

Well, we're back up, +2 was 142. Tess is usually a little higher at +2 and lately her nadir has been around +4. I hope the +4 will be down again.

Libby, I've been giving her snack at +9:30, about half an ounce or 1/6 can of FF. I've been wondering if i should try earlier, maybe +8?

What are we looking for as a BG number or how many cycles of no lower numbers before we take her up again? This is the 5th cycle on the fat 0. How many times can she go up and down?

Just did the +4, 143 no change.
