PurrFace had a nice time surfing the blue zone last night and thankfully decided to continue it into today's AM cycle.
The two ladies had some sort of disagreement this morning. I just sat downtown have 1st
when a gray streak flashed in front of me. It was Heidi making a mad dash into the tube on top of their cat tree. Following close behind was Katie. Now Heidi is in the tube looking down at Katie and Katie is sitting on the floor looking up at Heidi. Unfortunately Katie made the mistake of turning her head away at which time Heidi, not one to miss an opportunity to one of the big lady, reached down and swatted her a good one on top of the head. This isn't the first time this has happened and normally Katie just walks away. This time however Katie make it quick about face and lunged right up to the top of tree, into the tube and on top of Heidi. This resulted in a lot of hissing and growling. The next thing I saw was a gray streak again, running as quickly as possible for the cat door that goes to the screen porch. No injuries sustained by either combatant however there was one who went away with a bruised ego. Where was PurrFace through all of this? He was laying on the ottoman at the ready should he be required to mediate a less aggressive solution to the situation.
Oldest DGS coming this morning. He's excited because he has all the profiling done on the bed post and only two more sanding stages, then the part he's been waiting for--staining. Asked him to research both the normal stain and the gel stain and select one. I'm hoping he selects the gel stain but I believe he'll feel safer going with the traditional stain. We'll see shortly.
