Bouncy City for Mannie yesterday - not a pretty day, not too thrilled with those reds at pmps, tad bit discouraging to see him bounce so hard after his run with the greens the night before. I had truly hoped we were passed that. Guess not. well, we start anew today :-D , hope for better numbers :cool: , do what we can to steer the ship :razz: , and always hold the thought that we shall win the war. :cool: :-D :razz: right Mannie? cat_pet_icon

Still considering a dose increase, to bring things down overall. If he'd stop bouncing so I can give it. I know too well what he can do on this dose, really don't want to increase when he's in bounce mode, knowing that we could hit the really low stuff if I do. We are a one man band here, and I just can't be up all night and all day with spot checks and monitoring should that occur. Trying to care for a DGS too - Mannie's trying to cope with that - well just a tad bit difficult. well - it will work out, it always does.

Mannie is his usually furry purry self, very impatient for his breffis, as the bean overslept, and all was 30 minutes late. :shock: :roll: Of course this morning I had the fuds dance to the max, and no camera. aiyee!!! :lol: I still have not given up on that.... He was something else last night. Mannie decided he wanted to put me to bed last night - SWEET! :cool: :razz: so.... we get to the bedroom and one of the civvies was already there. He jumps up on the bed, assumes the position: that icy cold stare, the hunched down shoulders, the up on his tippy toes elevated rear end, the extended neck. :lol: :lol: :lol: The civvie didn't last 10 seconds. He had secured the bed, and put the bean to sleep. What a guy.... and the nanners: napping is now in progress, after they had been reclaimed with chews and slobbers, and cuddles. Normalcy in Mannie Land.

Well Michelle....Shadow and Mannie must stop hanging out together if THIS is what happens. I had thought that we were getting past the bounces too for awhile back there....a little while ago. It seemed that both boys were doing much better back then. Now, they seem to have lost the focus....lost direction of the goal....dontcha think?

Seems that they both are more interested in other things. Who do we know that can influence them in a good way? Any good books they can read on the subject of getting blues? sigh. I hope you two have a good day in spite of the numbers. Hang in there...you are doing a great job and one of these days, Mannie will pay attention too!

Oh, so much better than PMPS last night and down at +2 is a good sign. ------------> :-D Here's you happy face Michelle. Really, you are doing so well all on your own w/ him. People ask how I do it, but I've got backup w/ DH. Hats off to you and the others who have to deal w/ all this on your own.

I'm getting a late start, even later than usual that is. I had to look up a recipe for Mango Sticky Rice, YUM! I found an easy one I can cook in the rice cooker. :-D

Mannie , any plans today? My beans are going out (if I let them!) and we have sunshine! This seems like a great day to chillax and recover from all the partying. Especially since more are o the way! -- Tess

Hi Pat - those boys! i can see this plot developing between them. :lol: seriously - i know what you mean - good things a while back, though we had gotten past the high bounces. etc. but lately? i think you're right: lost focus, lost goal. I get one great day, followed by 2 not so great, and repeat the process again, day in day out. well - we keep on truckin'.... :cool: :razz:

Hi Barbara - THX - been a good one so far. Took in an early morning walk/hike to the shore. Trying to beat out the next rain session... success! I so hope on the bouncing thing - aiyee! well this one seems only to have lasted the day - so maybe tonight will be good. :-D

Hi Ann - THX (!!) for my happy face. See: it's back -----> :-D yeah this solo stuff is tough. My DH simply cannot help. About 5 years ago he was DX'd with a bone spur on vertebra # 4 (?? never can remember which neck one it was) - anyways - it was severely pinching his spinal cord. after surgery to remove it the end result was a damaged spinal cord which left him incapable of sensation in the extremities, hence grabbing small things and manipulating them is physically impossible. no way can he handle needles, or lancets, etc.... well so it is, and this bean does the best she can. -- and sticky mango rice? dang - that sounds really good. :-D :-D :-D

Mannie is looking so much better as the day goes along. I can just picture Mannie securing the bed -- too funny :lol:

Like your DH, I also have bone spurs on my neck and I have been avoiding surgery because I'm scared that it will actually make the problem worse. The problem is that when the pain flares up, I can barely cope. I'm trying to manage the pain with acupuncture and yoga, but it can only help so much. Oh dear, I didn't mean to post such a downer comment. So anyway, Happy Caturday and glad you could get a walk in!

Animals & kids are just the cutest.. I loved seeing Mannie & Nicholas... looks like Mannie still cannot quite figure out this "thing" about his size .. he just know "it" isn't a cat :lol:

I'm late getting to condos....pool crisis, Gracie diving, etc etc. Hope Mannie considers coming down. I know it has to be a hard decision. He CAN do well on this dose and you do have a lot on your plate. I only have to handle Gracie alone 3-4 days/week and I can only imagine how exhausting it would be to do it alone EVERY day plus take care of a baby during the week. One little drop more might really help him with the bounces but he IS getting good numbers and you have to consider yourself and not getting too exhausted; I don't know how you get by on that little bit of sleep as it is!!

Mannie...pool dudes just here for a bit this morning but it's raining so they left. It's a mess out there but my beans say dey doing good work. I just want my deck back so we can chillax. My bean covered all the catnip with plastic and those BAD MEN put rocks on top and squished my CATNIP!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: I'm very mad but my bean she fixed it and told those bad men they better be careful with Baby Gracie's catnip!

Hi Georgia - yep, the bed securing was darn funny. i had to laugh at him. when he was done he settled down, went to sleep. and no - not a downer comment at all. With my DH the spurs were growing into the spinal cord... very long story here. he had no choice - it was either fix it or pay the consequences which would have been fatal. and yes on the pain - he tries too. even after the surgery the pain is still there - a lingering effect of spinal cord damage, and nerves that did not heal. I hope you can find relief - I know what you are going through.

Ann - YAY!!! And I will have to try that out. It sounds sooooo good!

Hi Nicole - no problem really. I'm glad you enjoyed the pics. I hope Mannie can figure this all out - this baby is here to stay, ya know? :lol:

Hi Marje - oh I know on the condo thing - another day when I got to so few, and had the best intentions when I logged on here today. **heavy sigh** and yes on Mannie's dose. I believe that a fatten will help him, but I just do not want to do that when he is bouncing. I know I will get a signature dive if a do... so we wait. and wait. and wait. it never fails, just when I am ready to up the dose he has 2-3 awesome cycles.... well - we shall see how this new week goes. :-D

Hi Christie - yeah, that bed thing last night was priceless. I wish I had been able to put that too video. alas, no camera, again! and yes - doesn't that dessert sound so good!

Oh gosh, I'm so late visiting condos. I keep taking breaks, and then never get caught up! Glad to see Mannie coming down and good luck if you decide to increase, did you say? I feel bad for your DH. I just finished pt for cervical spinal spondylosis, and I can't begin to image the pain your DH must go thru with all the history.

Mannie, sorry I missed the get together today; my Bean must have gone to a meter intervention meeting that the other Beans forced on her. :lol:

Hi Guys! Another late day for me. Just too beautiful outdoors today to get to many condos! Never did get out on my bike (if you didn't know better you'd think we lived on a dirt road, there is so much winter sand and crud). But I got the canoe rack up on the car and did some bike clean up.
Don't know what to advise you about Mannie's dose. I think that you're right to leave it where it is for the time being and just hope that he'll stop his bounces. I don't think he's bouncing as much as last year at this time, when he was on the bungees all the time! Maybe it's time to try some different foods? Anyway, you've got to get enough sleep with all that you have to do.
Sorry to hear the extent of your DH's spinal problem. Edward has back/neck issues, too, but was lucky to have a really good physical therapist when they were at their worst. But he lives with pain too.
Hope your weather improves tomorrow. Yes, I remember vividly Seattle weather!!

93 @ +6. SWEET!, and hooray for the power of a dosecrease threat.... fed this with a 7%, as I know it is doubtful I will even hear an alarm tonight for further testing....so, playing it safe.
