Last Condo
I know it is way late to be doing a condo, but this has been my only chance, and I just wanted to let everyone know why we are MIA and that all is well. The past few days have been insane, getting the kitties taken care of and trying to get ready for my company and weekend adventure. There has literally been no time to sit down at the computer.
I dropped three of the kitties at Dawn's this afternoon, then took Harvey for his IM appointmet. Dawn met me at UCD and took Harvey home with him, so I am currently catless. Very strange feeling. My sister and her DBF's DDIL arrived safely, and everyone but me is in bed.
Cinco has been doing well. Just when I start thinking we failed the reduction, he throws in a green surf. I was unsure what to tell Dawn to shoot, but I think he can be trusted on the 1.0 (anti-jinx). I stressed to her the importance of getting at least one mid-cycle test, and I think she will do it.
Minka had a couple days of not eating well, but started off yesterday and today much better. Even better, she's still eating the lower phosphorus foods instead of the FF (anti-jinx), so win-win. Her chemo was yesterday and her kidney values were back down (YAY!) and her weight stable, so the Oncologist was very pleased.
Harvey had his check up with his IM today. His calcium had been high at his last appointmet, but is back down to normal, so Dr. B was happy. I specifically asked them to check his BG, and it was 281
. Dr. B said not to panic, as he was very stressed when they took the sample, and it could easily have cause his BG to go up. I did test him one day last week and got 152, but I think that was food influenced. I am pretty paranoid about his BGs, because I'm scared the Pred will cause him to get FD. That would be my worst nightmare - even Marilyn would not love having to try to test him, let alone t/f/s!!! Please send anti FD vines his way! I'll be checking him randomly next week.
Sasha is doing better, as far as the URI is concerned. We are still not having much luck with the inhaler. She hates having it on her face and holds her breath. Dawn said she has used an inhaler on several cats and promised to work with Sasha while she is there to see if she can get her used to it. The Pred is down to every other day, so we need to get this going. Her appy is still great. I'm going to miss that when the Pred is done.
I won't be posting a condo again until Late Monday, and probably won't have time to visit much, but please know I am thinking of you all and keeping you and your kitties in my prayers. I'll try to check a few condos as time allows, even if I don't comment.
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. Special prayers to Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH, and DGD, as well as Lisa's DF, Marje's DM, Chris' DM and Elise's DM.
