Man, talk about a FDMB slacker!!! I cannot believe that I didn't get back to my computer Saturday to say HI and thank you to Liz, Josie, Carla & Rhiannon for checking in on us; but I didn't even set up a condo on Sunday!!!! GAH! How embarrassing! Shasta had an ok Saturday and Sunday. I say "ok" because she was really ticked at me for not spending as much "quality" time with her. I spent both days sewing new pet beds for her (high density foam, nice soft and fuzzy material!) and getting myself ready to recover her window pillows that used to be my mom's floor pillows that she and her first husband brought back when he was stationed in Japan. They are falling apart and I thought it might be nice to recover them so that no more harm comes to the silk covers. So far, it's taking much longer than I expected!!!! (did I mention that I'm teaching myself to sew in the process of sewing!!!!)

Anyways, hello Monday...I still loathe you!

WCR: Shasta is very quiet this morning; appy is only ok; pee is fine (we'll wait for afternoon poo); no preening, purrs or play yet. Currently, she is sitting on her new kitty bed. Oh, I lied...she just joined me on the couch. After holding her bowl for her, she ate MUCH more of her breffis. She did this last night when I was getting ready for bed. It's 'cute', but it concerns me.

WHR: I go in for my second steroid injection...this one will be more direct into the affected nerve area and apparently more painful. I'm being drugged for this one.  I've been trying not to over do it this weekend. I did a little thrift store shopping for material and zippers and such, sewing, vacuuming, laundry...you know...normal weekendy kind of things. I'm definitely noticing the nerve problems in my right leg. It's feeling weaker. I'm so scared that this could be permanent and irreversible. Got me panicky. Ok, time to get ready for work.

Blessings to all the good people and their four-legged loved ones...and their two-legged loved ones! I'm hoping to actually follow through this week and get onto the board to check condos. Hope everyone is doing well and I apologize for being MIA lately. xo

Work the juice, Shasta!

Sheesh - no ned to apologize for having a life outside FMDB! You sound like me ... I want to do an XYZ project ... so first I have to teach myself XYZ immediately! Good luck on that - the first time always takes so much longer.

Good luck on your shot today. At least you won't feel it. I *hate* big needles :: shudder :: Have a good one, Deborah!

Hi guys .. well shasta that was quite the jump this morning but at least you turned yourself around .. keep on heading down missy .. I hope that your injection today is not extremely painful, but works for you and makes you feel so much better .. Nice idea on keeping the silk from getting ruined anymore .. Have a great day guys!

Hi Carla, Mary, Lisa, & Devon! Thanks for encouraging Shasta to come down from her ugly pinks and high yellows. She listened and has enjoyed some lovely time in the blues tonight.

Well, today did not go as planned. Five minutes after I left school to meet up with my friend who was going to drive me to the doctors, I listened to my cell phone voicemails...the doctor's office called to reschedule my injection. :-x One of their machines was down and they needed to reschedule. I'm not mad, but dangit...this sucks. Rescheduling sucks. I had just put up my audition sheets for next week and now have to reschedule all of those students AND find someone to cover the last part of my class...again. AND...I really wanted to be over and done with this so that my leg has a shot at regaining feeling. :YMSIGH: Ok, enough *****ing and complaining. I didn't sleep well or much last night, so I'm hoping to get a few more hours tonight, especially now that Shasta is on the up-slide!

Sorry I didn't make it around to condos tonight. If I start now, it'll be another hour before I get to bed...because I like everyone and want to say hi and comment on how well all the kitties are doing. UGH! I hate this...I miss everyone and hope kitties and hoomins are doing well.

Hi Deborah!

No worries...sometimes you need to take a break and take care of things. We will all be here when you have time.

Shasta looks good today. I hope she will decide she totally forgives you and will give you extra snuggles. What a great mama that you are making her special beds and pillows.

What a pain for them to cancel your appt! I hope you get in soon and it helps you.

Sleep tight!
