Re: 4/8 Rosy AMPS 468 Dosecrease to 1.25u

Thankyou so much! Hope we can get her down to the yellow at least! This is so frustrating seeing her go up into the red.

She is taking a rest today because with those figures, I'll give her a break till the PM.

There are products that don't contain sweeteners however, I don't know if they're available in your country. You can use butter, any kind of cooking oil (although, I don't know that I'd use peanut oil -- corn, safflower, canola, or olive oil is fine), or even a small amount of petroleum jelly (it's the basic ingredient in most hairball formulas) is fine.

Tks for the info! Do you mean adding the oil or butter to their food? How much should I add ; a tsp? How often? Since all my cats are domestic short haired, I give them hairball remedy when there is a seasonal chang, when they shed. I do brush them to clear off loose hair.

Hypo?

PM +5 452 food was given at +4 when dh found Rosy sleeping with twitching at her paws & legs, thought she's in a "hypo". Quickly gave her her supper portion of food! When I got up an hr later, test came with a whopping 452! :o What a hypo! Obviously Rosy was kicking mummy in her dream!

Come down Rosy! Other than red, roses canbe yellow & blue too!

DH needs to learn that cat's dream and that's probably what the twitching was all about. (DH could learn to test and not make that mistake again!!)

You can give a small amount of butter or the petroleum jelly by itself. I'd give maybe 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of the oil on food and see how Rosy tolerates it. You don't want to give her so much she ends up with diarrhea.
