It will be interesting to see how he reacts to the .4 We are hoping for a slower drop, later nadir and flatter cycle. I hope we see that today but he may also be a cat who takes a long time to clear a low number. Paws crossed it looks good.

I'm guessing those pesky bouncy hormones are still pushing his numbers up. I *hope* you will see him start to clear those later this cycle, and that he gradually slides down to a more reasonable PM pre-shot number. If you see that type of pattern...a gradual slide down, that usually signals that those bouncy hormones are clearing out.

Tested negative for ketones today. I pushed food more in the am cycle. He ate at 7am (after AMPS), 8am, 9:30 and 2:30 and 4:30pm. This is probably the flattest that I have ever seen him. Too bad it is so high. But is it still good to see this?
I gave him .4U tonight and will tomorrow morning. He is feeling ok; not any worse. I got him some Catswell treats that is from our low carb treat list and he liked that. I will test him again at +3 tonight.
I was reading a thread in the "think tank" titled "easing down." Someone mentioned that their cat had extreme highs and lows and they fed them higher carb in the morning in order to stop the extreme drop. I hope we don't have to do that.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do.

It's frustrating when they sit flat and high when they're bouncing. I think we gotta pull on the patience pants and see if Merlin will come down (a little more gently) with a 0.4. 
Fingers and paws and everything else crossed that he will clear out those bouncies and move down for you tonight to see if the 0.4 is going to do the trick.

This was a nice drop and I might add the "first" drop since shooting the .4! Merlin ate 90 minutes before +3 (8:30pm). In analyzing this number on the ss, it looks safe enough to go to bed. Good night.
