The operative word for yesterday was slidage, well at least for the morning cycle. It was such a welcome relief from the day before where all was pink. I hope I never see pink again. :lol: The PMPS was wonderful. what a great PM cycle :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: - well done Mannie! cat_pet_icon We have a little bounce this AM, but not too bad... Go Mannie!

Mannie survived another day with the baby. :roll: The cries definitely upset him, but he did venture out to visit Nicholas before he went home. Mannie checked all the toys, made sure he claimed them, rolled on the baby's blanket and proceeded to come and sit by him. He even let Nicholas touch him: didn't flinch, bat an eye, move an inch. The building blocks of a friendship. Sweet! :lol: We finally had a break in the weather yesterday afternoon, and I was able to let Mannie outside. One happy kitty! It was close to test and shoot time, and still he was out - patrolling the yard. I had to sound the dinner bell: spoon banging on his fuds can. It still works - within minutes he was in, waiting in his testing spot. :lol: :lol: :lol: All is full of normalcy this morning: fuds down the hatch, clean plat club status maintained, no fuds dance (darn!), and nanners shuffled, piled, unpiled, slept on after much tending. Yep - a normal morning in MannieLand.

I took a few pics yesterday of Mannie's encounter with Nicholas. Sorry that the quality is a bit off - babies do not sit still! nor do cats! :lol: :lol: :lol:




well off to pick up my DGS for another day with granny. I will be taking him in later to visit his mom and work, and afterwards hope to do some local hiking by her tpb. I am so looking forward to it. YAY!!! I hope to visit condos when I get home, and do better than I did yesterday... I miss you guys!

Great pics of Nicholas and Mannie! So good to hear that Mannie is becoming more comfortable around the baby.

Lovely greens last night. Rusty enjoyed the lagoon surf and grill, too. He's sleeping it off this morning!!

Aww, those pics of Mannie and Nicholas are adorable. Mannie seems to really like Nicholas and looks like he will be protective of his little friend. We have your rain today which is okay as I don't have any appointments, but I do need more cat food. I hope Mannie gives you a nice cycle today.

I love these photos of Mannie with Nicholas and the toy basket. A lot of kitties would be under the bed when the grand kids come to visit. My niece used to think that Teddy's name was "Under the bed". Mannie is right in the middle of things. What a good helper.

Watch out for those little beans that smell like poo. They can grab your hair and pull really hard on it! Just so ya know.

Those pictures of Mannie and Nicholas are fantastic. He appears to be fascinated by Nicholas. I'm sure they will be best buds soon. Hope he has a nice surf today.

As for me, my adopted Granddaughter is getting married tomorrow. Today Rehearsal and Dinner, lots of old swimming friends from WA will be here along with my family. I'm so excited. Off to start getting ready - lots to do to get out of here by 4:00. Have a wonderful nice surf day Mannie, I'm sure you will have a great day with Nicholas and hope you get to hike.

Mannie! The Lagoon was such a good idea yesterday, I stayed all night to watch the sunrise, but boy, am I tired today. I think we need to go over and see what they did to Gracie's pool, make sure everything is all right. She'll be lonely w/ her daddybean gone too! And KTSS duties! Simon needs the spa treatment and wow, all the other sick kitties. This is becoming a full time job! -- Tess

Love the pictures of Mannie and Nicholas. Nicholas is adorable!! I'm glad Mannie was brave enough to venture so close to the baby. Whenever my nieces come over to my house, they always ask to go up to the bedroom to peer under the bed to look at Simon and Cleo. That is as close as they can get.

Enjoy the weather and hoping Mannie stops being pink. So unbecoming on him!

Hi Ella, Things are coming along with Mannie and the baby. He still retreats to the basement when the cries start, but he seems a little bit more at ease. and YAY! on the hike - it's a short one, maybe 6 miles RT, but the creek there is beautiful, and it does have some nice waterfalls. Trails hugs the route of the old Walla walla RR that used to ship coal from there back in the 1890's. You can still see remnants of the RR and tinder boxes. Very nice hike.

Hi Ann - I think so too. Once he gets comfortable around the baby i think he will be a good companion. predictable cycle for Mannie today - last night green, today will be yellow.... I hope for a good one tonight.

Linda - hey, and hi, and thanks for the visit! I think he will be good with the baby. he's going through the adjustment phase now. Cries send him to the basement bedroom. He simply is not used to noise like that, he will though over time, he always does.

I am so envious of your waterfalls in your pics you seem to have many in your area one thing my forest has none of and even when we go south there are few I have to travel to TN for waterfalls but so happy you got to hike and totally understand on condo withdrawal since I have missed doing that a great deal in the last week and with no internet yesterday jeez its amazing how much one comes to depend on our virtual things now days when my kids where little of course computers were not around how did we survive :lol: I just love that last pic of Mannie looking at Nicholas its just priceless hope he gets used to the crying after a while.

Hi Michelle. I love the pics. I'm impressed that Mannie spends any time at all with the baby. Checks stays under the bed, the whole time family is here. He comes out only when DD is here alone, because he adores her. He has no use for the toddlers.
I love the look on Mannie's face in the one photo. I'd love to know what he's thinking.

Mannie had a great night last night. The look on his face in that last picture is really priceless!!! I'm not so sure he's so sure about that baby. Nicholas is darling and getting so big already!! Hope you are having a lovely day out!

Mannie....it's pretty bad over here! Dem bad guys still here. My bean says they be here three weeks!!! Da pool looks nasty...and it's cold and windy here. I thinks we just need to do some KTSS for Simon and others. Tobey is ready to go. I'm a little tired but ok. Tess and me gots lots of pokeys last night but gotta keep da beans happy.

Hi Barb - thx! Mannie is trying, but when enough is enough he heads on downstairs where it is quiet. It will be very interesting to see what he does when the baby is a toddler. He is so accepting of alot of things, but well.... we shall see.

Hi Marje - I know on the expression on his face in that last photo. I couldn't believe that he actually came up there and sat next to Nicholas. I was glad that the camera was with me - priceless shots. :lol: Yep - nice day out. Hike was good, nothing too challenging, but it is pretty there in with woods - trail follows the creek for most of it. Good time!

Gracie!!!! OK - no pool for us! 3 weeks???? we gotta wait three weeks??? ooooooooo that is so sad.... it's ok though - we an go to the ocean! and the beach! Hi Claudia!! thanks for the visit. I too have wondered if the baby is causing him stress, and higher numbers. I dunno, but it is possible, He really doesn't like the long cries that babies can do, gets very agitated when the kid lets one loose. :shock: I think in time he'll be OK with it - it's just so new for him - never been around children before.

I have read him your post. I think I got a head nod "yes".

Hi Christie - thx on the pics. Hike was good - not too bad for the start of the hiking season. Trail was very muddy -omg my boots are now caked with mud. oh well, a small price to pay I guess. I took a ton of photos, hope to get them upload to my link below tomorrow. I tried this afternoon, but omg on the computer issues. I need a new 'puter... this one is 9 years old, and is beginning to show it's age..... it just can't keep up with the demands made upon it.
