Altho' he had a nice blue slide last night, he's back up in the high 200's this morning - sure wish he'd decide where he wants to stay so I can shoot the right amount of juice.... :roll:
We thought we were being bombed at 3:30am this morning. A sudden storm broke right over us - lightning hit on either side of us, the HOUSE shook, thought the windows were breaking, the electricity went off...it was DARK. Animals started scattering everywhere running into things while 2 humans were jumping around in the room trying to figure out what was happening, find clothes and avoid running legs. This went on for about 10 minutes....SCARY!!!! Laughable now but sure had our hearts racing then!
I FORGOT A JOY TO SHARE! I just love Redbud trees but really have no room for one other than this little square in the backyard that I very rarely go to and can't see from any window....seemed kind of useless. They grow well here and grow wild in the wooded areas. 3 years ago I walked out to that back area to check the propane level, here was this foot tall redbud that had probably blown in as seed by the wind. I cleaned weeds away and let it grow. Last year, it got broken by one of the cats..back to about a foot tall. All it's leaves dropped, looked dead....when the rest of them were coming out, I ran back and checked mine - not even an itty bitty bud....made me sad. Early last week, I had to again check propane level, didn't really want to as I didn't want to see my dead tree too. I walk to the fence, open the gate - WOWOW!!! IT'S GOT LEAVES!!! In about 2 weeks, it put on 10-15 buds, leafed and started growing 2 new 'branches'!!!!!! Oh what another heart blessing that is!!!
Whew...I'm long winded aren't I? Oh well....
