AMPS (288) +11.5 - Shot .5u at 2:00am so we won't be so late to Easter lunch at the in-law's!

I hope y'all have a wonderful Easter full of time with family and friends and celebrating Jesus' Resurrection!

+3.75 (211)
+6 (233)

PMPS (272) +11.5 - Shot .5u at 1:20pm - off to the in-law's!
+4.25 (339)
+6 (322)

Guess we'll go up tomorrow when we're home...but which part of the scale? To go up on this range will make it .6u, so 250-350 would be .6u...hmmm...

Re: 4/8 Hershey PM +4.25 (339)

Two nights in a row he defies logic... I don't get it, but I need to. Last night I considered it flat rather than an increase, but tonight the numbers are further apart...

...pondering...

Re: 4/8 Hershey PM +4.25 (339)

Yeah, I don't know. I even double-checked with Doug that he actually GAVE him his shot. I kept figuring +/- 20 but the numbers seemed wider today. Was encouraged by the PS, now just hoping the +6 is a lot lower...

Would love to hear your thoughts...

Re: 4/8 Hershey PM +6 (322)

PM +6 (322) - Well, so much for hoping +6 was a better number than +4...

WONDERIN'...

4/7PM .5 into (284)
+4 (312)
+6 (260)

4/8AM .5 into (288)
+3.75 (211)
+6 (233)

4/8PM .5 into (272)
+4.25 (339)
+6 (322)

Wondering what to do with the scale at AMPS...

Re: 4/8 Hershey PM +6 (322)

It looks to me that .7 when high pink works well.
It looks like .6 into a low pink works well.
It looks like .5 into a high yellow is too much. Today AMPS, not so much because he did drop a little. But last night and tonight, I would call flat/high looking numbers.
Maybe .4 into a 250-299 might give you better cycles? Toss the .5 dose out. Maybe there isn't a big enough difference between doses? I'm scrambling for a logical reason here ;-)
Hoping Robin, who grasps sliding scales better than I do, see this and offers her thoughts too!

Re: 4/8 Hershey- Thoughts on SCALE

Well, Carl, glad I have someone in my confusion boat, because the scale from 3/29 to 4/3 had .4 for 250-299. Think it's time to change it back? I know things change and what did work doesn't anymore...I'm appreciative of the yellow PS's, but just don't seem to know what to do with them...

Maybe this next cycle will show me something amazing! :-D I can hope...

As long as we each have paddles, and we're all paddling in the same direction, happy to share the boat with you! It could be time to "go back" and try that dose again...

Hershey - we don't want to see this:

Or this:

How about some of this?

Carl

I told Hershey, now let's see how well he listened  Will plan to try it again, when he gives me a chance -

Cute icons! FDMB needs some updated smileys. The ones Carl used would be perfect.

I'm Sure Hershey will give you another chance.

Did you have a wonderful Easter with your family?

I loved the emoticons, too, Jenn, and think we need new ones, too.

I did have a nice day - church this morning with Doug and two of my three kids. Lunch at the in-law's, 14 of us were able to make it this year. Sad to send Joe back to school after having him home for 4 days, though.

How was your Easter?

You did have a great Easter!

Mine was very peaceful Easter. I was a little homesick. I usually go home back to Okla. at Easter. I made lots of yummy food for DH & I. We have so much food left, but it's ok. I wanted to make lots of stuff. It kind of helps me feel like I'm at home.

aww, Jenn, I'm sorry you were homesick. But, I know what you mean. We used to have Sunday lunch at my grandma's every week. My grandparents and aunt and uncle lived together, so even after my grandparents died we kept meeting at the same house for lunch. My aunt died in 1998 and the family fell apart; we don't even meet for holidays anymore. So, even though lots of the family is still in the area, I miss those times together.

I do hope you can go home soon.

Sounds like you had a wonderful Easter celebrating with family. Hate Hershey didn't cooperate too much. Neither did Copper today.

It was such a glorious day, so after church went on a family hike. Loved it! My aging dog, Annie seemed to be really feeling good today on the hike and that was nice to see since she is getting so old and hard to get around much anymore. Hate seeing her get so old. But today was a good day for her and the family!

Hope your day is better tomorrow~!

Sounds like your weather was like ours - beautiful! So happy to hear Annie had a good day and enjoyed your hike. I know what you mean about watching them age. But, it happens to the best of us - I figure I only have two choices, so am choosing to age! Glad you had such a fun day :-D

Sorry Copper's numbers didn't cooperate for you today. Hoping tomorrow is a better day!

Hope he has better days ahead too. I'm on the confusion boat too! He keeps throwing those RED ps's numbers which is so unusual for him. My gut keeps telling me he only throws those when he has too much insulin in his system. But my head keeps saying, don't go down his nadir is not low enough. But i'm thinking he is having too much of a steep drop and his body does not like this. So tonight, i decided to go down and his number +4 is already better. So who knows? Mystery!

Glad you enjoyed your children this weekend, especially your son's b-day. What a great time of year to have a baby. I love the Spring! How warm did it get in Raleigh today? It was in the 70's here and a beautiful Carolina blue sky. PERFECT!

Have a great cycle tomorrow!

It WAS a beautiful day here... we had lunch outside at my friend's house - this is my idea of what "living in the south" means!

That whole re-boot thing... scary from the side of ketones, but when you hear about how well they do, you gotta wonder if it's not the right choice sometimes. Glad you got some good numbers out of it! I wonder if there's any residual insulin hanging around that influences it - kinda like the shed of other insulins - or if, after a couple of cycles the body says, "Whoa, where'd my insulin go???"? Nice to know someone has tried it successfully!

Here's to more Carolina blue skies... this week looks to be fabulous!!!
