Day 6 on Basaglar
Well, if I had to say something about how Basaglar gets along with China at this point, I'd say it doesn't always last a full 12 hours, and it seems to onset a little later
And while her numbers are mostly good, her 30 day average is going up a little so I'm going to be watching that closely too
I have to admit, although the Basaglar seems to be safe, I think I like Lantus better....at least the way China responds to it.
In other news, it was one heck of a day with DM! Her new cleaning lady came this morning so I wasn't worried about her, but about 1 I started calling just to see how her day was going and got voice mail....called probably 10 times in the next couple hours and always went to VM (now it's not unusual for her to not hear it the first time or two, or be in the shower or somewhere when it rings and forget to call back, so I don't panic right away)
After 2 hours of VM, I called a couple of the ladies that live in the building and asked them to go check on her. One wasn't home and the other "couldn't leave her dog" (long story), so I ended up going over there.
That phone was GONE!! I can usually call it, find where it is and go right to it, but it wasn't anywhere in the apartment. I knew the battery was OK because it was ringing 4 times before going to VM. I thought "well maybe she threw it away", so I went out to the big trash in the parking lot and called it again (in case she accidentally tossed it and the cleaning lady took it out with the trash)....Nothing from the trash can either! DM finally remembered she'd been out in the courtyard for a walk, so I went out there and called it....nothing again.
Finally gave up and figured I'd just have to go buy a new phone since she can't be without one in case she needs to call for help, and went to AT&T. As I was waiting my turn, her phone called me!! It was one of the other ladies in the building who didn't know who the phone belonged to and was just calling the most called number. Luckily, she knows me and DM well and took the phone down to her. It was out in the courtyard but all the way on the opposite side from where I'd been and I hadn't heard it ring.
Whew! Good thing there was a line at the AT&T store!...and Thank God for the lady that found it!!
Hope you're all having a good Caturday!!
