Simon is a beautiful blue this morning! Much better than his awful numbers yesterday. He got his Adequan shot yesterday it usually makes him really stiff that same day. He is a little more spry this morning.
Thanks to everyone who gave me advice about the stray kitty that is hanging out in my backyard (Cole). He left last night and came back again this morning. I wonder where he goes?? I am going to ask around at church today to see if someone would like him. I know alot of really good cat people, so maybe??? If not, I guess he has found a way into my home, although I am a little torn, because see below for my other possible adoption.
I mentioned that I have another cat that I was already thinking about adopting. Her name is Missy and she has been at the no-kill shelter for 2 years. She is a fat black cat that is 9 years old. Here is the heartbreaking story: Her owner was elderly. A few years ago, there was a fire in the owner's home and Missy licked the owner awake and they both escaped. Then the owner had a stroke and while she was in rehab, her children dumped Missy off at the shelter. The owner got well enough to go back to her home so she immediately came and got Missy. Two weeks later, the owner died and she was found holding Missy in her arms. The worst thing yet: her children then again dumped her off at the shelter and she has been there ever since. She was so loved by her owner and now is sitting in a room with 20 other cats. She is so sweet and purred whenever I petted her. She is calling to me. I saw her over 8 months ago when I still had Cleo so I couldn't pursue the adoption and was hoping she would find her forever home. I am having bloodwork done because I really need to know if she has any special needs. The shelter does not know because bloodwork was done 2 years ago and not done since. I'll keep you updated. DH is going to see her today and hopefully, we will find out results of BW in a few days.
Have a great day!!
