And by the way, my staff today is somewhat useless to Rusty but I'm planning to get a ketone test tomorrow when I'm back in. He's acting a little more subdued today, although he's eating and drinking normally.
 
Given how fast Rusty went up from +9 to PMPS last night, my money is on a bounce. :rolleyes: He's probably subdued because he is starting to get used to those nice blues/greens and now doens't feel as well in reds. Which is a good thing.
 
Ugh! If you skip you know he'll be sky high tomorrow, but with him coming down so fast, I wouldn't want to give the full dose. Maybe a one time partial dose and lots of food?
 
Sure, 1/2 dose to get something in him and hopefully avoid the worst of the numbers. I'd leave some high carb wet food if you have it. High carb wet will keep him safer but not linger as long as dry.

Ok, tested again and he's down to 118. Still do the half dose with high carb food?
 
The problem with not feeding is that their numbers can drop as they are hungry. If you feel safer you could skip and leave regular food. But if you leave sufficient high carb food, I think he'd be OK.

I'm tempted to skip and just leave his regular food. Although I know that's not great. He doesn't like a lot of the higher carb food and I'm afraid he won't eat it.
 
You can always turn food he likes into high carb with a drop or two of honey, karo, or syrup.
