YESTERDAY:http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/...-47-4-75-47-6-5-70-8-86pmps-175-5-125.135770/

Starting on the low side and it's Marta cleaning day so he's under the bed because I stripped it and am washing the sheets. I'll get a +1.5 before she comes. Thanks for the support yesterday. This is a difficult dance and we do the best we can. Pancreatitis I think has made it harder for Max and me.

Prayers and vines for Amy's DM, Tricias's 4, Marje's DM, and all struggling. It's nice to see trials going on with Tina going on second OTJ. May they be successful and many more kitties go OTJ.

Nice start there Max! surf safe now. You know Max very well Elise! You're a good momma bean and he is fortunate to have you. We do what we know based on our knowledge of our cats after so much time. Its always good to get feedback regardless of what we ultimately choose to do. Max is the one who will give you the correct answer ultimately!:cat:

Nice numbers for Max this morning. I hope he surfs safely today and you can find him to test if you need to.

You do a great job with Max. He's lucky to have you.

Thanks Laura and Carla.

Fortunately I always know where he is, under my bed. The wood risers were the best purchase I ever made when Tiffany got sick. My cats have always gone under the bed when scared. Tiffany got much more creative as her illness progressed.

Pretty flat cat, Max. What do you have up your sleeve for later?

Elise, your boy is such a challenge. But, wow, are you up for it. Not easy.

Nice day for Max! Especially considering the "cat eating cleaning lady" is there today....LOL

Hopefully he'll come out from under the bed in time for the PM cycle so you don't have to crawl under there with him!

He came out the minute she went to the other side of my condo. He woke up half an hour ago and was hungry. Since he didn't eat a lot i gave him some fd. He couldn't get it fast enough so I got a +9 which I never bother with and he's still surfing. I gave him some more FD to tide him over until PMPS.

Nice flat blue day for Max! Wooden risers for the bed...what a great idea. I'm always torn between wanting the girls to have their hiding places and wanting to know exactly where they are at all times.

I like you didn't want to take away the safe haven. I found the risers at Bed Bath N' Beyond. They have been a life saver for me because it's easy to drag him by his scruff. Before that when Tiffany got sick I was a nervous wreck when I would come home from work to take her to the vet and I couldn't get her out. I would have to lock them out of my bedroom. I had to have a friend install window locks on my doors because Max figured out how to open the doors.

Thanks for stopping by Linda and Ella.

I am laughing at Max figuring out how to open doors! What a crafty guy.

I know it is very scary for a sick cat or dog to have a tight hiding spot. When my dog Taffy (GA) got sick, she figured out how to hide under the bed, and I ended up barricading it with all kinds of boxes and clutter. The risers sound much nicer. With Billie, I have a weird trick to get her out from under the bed...she hates the vacuum, and if she hears me take it out, she runs to a specific chair where she will perch and monitor my vacuuming. I think it's because she doesn't like to feel cornered by the vacuum. So, if I need to test her and she is under the bed, I just vacuum a bit.

I hope Max heads down to the lagoon for you tonight!

I'll never forget the first time I saw him do it. I had come back from dinner with a friend and we were sitting in the hallway playing with Tiffany. He came over and stood looking at a door. I said I think he's going to open it. I expected him to jump up and push the handle down.He didn't. He stood up on his hind legs, put one paw on the handle and push it down with one movement and the door was open!

It's good your cats come out from under the bed when the vacuum is on. Max goes under it instead!
