Whew buddy I am nervous about this next shot. 4u and his bg is 130. I am going to be watching him closely after this shot to make sure we don't drop into the danger zone. I did give him 2 Temptations treaties to help give it a little 'bump' so it wouldn't be so terribly low. I do have Karo syrup on hand and some gravy dinners just in case.
I know maybe I am worrying for nothing but this is the first time his numbers that I am aware of have been this low before a shot and I'm still new to this.
What I have done though is try my best to get him off dry kibble. If he wants dry kibble, I have a small bowl of the Tiki Cat High Protean stuff that he can access. Ive been giving him the Fancy Feast classics pate and cooked chicken with broth. No treaties, no normal kibble, no gravy. And his numbers are looking nice. Ok, its time for his shot.

Good for you on giving the shot. We suggest to people when they shoot their lowest ever, to get a +1 and a +2 to give you a heads up how the cycle is going to go.

Well the blood glucose has shot back up to HI again so his BG is over 600. After that last shot, I gave him 2 Temptations treats and he grazed a lot on his old type cat kibble by taking a bite here and there. This is a huge learning experience. But now I know- no more Temptations treats or old kibble unless we need to get his bg up quick. but there are the gravy meals and karo syrup for that.
Hopefully tomorrow we will see numbers again instead of HI.

Temptations are definitely high carb. But he could also be bouncing, he's just not used to (yet) that much time he had in good numbers earlier.
