Happy Sunday LL!

I caught up on a lot of the sleep I've been missing, and for the first time in memory, actually feel well rested! I got to sleep in this morning and DH took care of the boy; he even got the +2 because I was still snoozing. They both came btb with me for snuggles, and then when we woke up, cuddled as we read the paper and did the Sunday NYT crossword. A perfect Sunday. Well, almost... BOING! @-) Ugh on the bounce, but at least he cleared the yellow quickly. We had so much fun at the coast-to-coast international party last night with Ripley, Zener, and Zoey. Will have to stock the freezer with some ice cream for next time ;-)

Big congratulations to Soldier-- OTJ BABY! and sending healing vines to all in need. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Thank you Wendy and Neko for the visit last night after we signed off. We missed you at the party.

Re: 4/7 Kismet AMPS 260, +2 185

It sounds like a beautiful morning, even with that wee little bounce. Great job on clearing it, Kizzy! And enjoy the rest of your day, Courtney!

Re: 4/7 Kismet AMPS 260, +2 185, +4 65

Hi, Courtney! Talk about Clearing The Bounce! Surf safely, Kizzter  !

I'm glad you got some well-deserved rest. Last night was fun :-D .
I'm going to buy some ice cream (and hide it in the waaaay back of the freezer), and look for some Easter candy on clearance (a Reece's Peanut Butter Cup Bunny, perhaps?  ). And I'll hide that, too...

I hope you guys have a great day!

Re: 4/7 Kismet AMPS 260, +2 185, +4 65

Wow, Super K, that is the way to break that bounce. Now surf safely for your beans. Very sweet on the cuddles in bed. You do the NYT crossword puzzle?! Oh, you're an English major.

Nice bounce recovery for Kismet. I'm glad you got to get caught up on your sleep.

Re: 4/7 Kismet AMPS 260, +2 185, +4 65

Hi guys,
That's a fast break of a bounce, Kismet. Good boy! Nice that you got some good sleep, Courtney. You need a clear head to do the NYT Sunday puzzle

Have a great day,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 4/7 Kismet AMPS 260, +2 185, +4 65, +5 57, +5.5 asthma +

Hi Kizzy-
Those are some nice numbers but I am soooo sad to hear about that asthma thingy. You were on such a roll. Lets hope you don't have any more.

Glad you finally got some rest Courtney and actually feel rested. That's a novel idea. Fur Ball is back to his old self. I haven't checked his BG today, but at least it was below 100. He is scheduled for surgery on Friday. I am still sooooo nervous about it. What if he has stage 3 cancer (1-2 are treatable per the vet)? Would it be fair to put him through the dental then? But, if they remove all the tumor then having him go under anethesia again would be hard on him (and our pocketbook). Oooo. I just don't like these decisions. Thanks for asking.

Have a great evening.
Karen

Wow - awesome on the good night's sleep and also for an awesome DH for testing AND getting the +2! Sounds like a great Sunday, and Kismet did wonderfully last night and cleared the bounce like a champ. Yay!

Re: 4/7 Kismet Asthma PMPS 256

Thank you all for visiting --- it was a great day until the asthma attack  We just celebrated two weeks of being asthma free, the longest streak he has had since coming back from remission. DH mowed the lawn today, and since we live in a townhouse, the only way to get to the backyard is through the house, so he has to move the lawnmower through the house. He brushes it off before bringing it through, and puts a piece of tarp under it to pull it through the house. No clippings fell off, but I guess the brief exposure was enough to get his allergies going. Within 10 minutes of DH bringing the lawnmower through, Kismet had an asthma attack. I got to him right away with his inhaler which stopped it immediately, and he has been breathing easy ever since.

This PMPS was not unexpected, but certainly not what we wanted to see. He did take a dive from yellow to green this morning, so who knows what the night will hold? I hope everyone has a lovely evening. I am not looking forward to the new week starting... still so much to do!

Re: 4/7 Kismet Asthma PMPS 256

sounds like it may be a really good thing that Kismet has you and wasn't destined to be an outdoor cat.
Hope Kismet makes it much much longer before the next one.....

Re: 4/7 Kismet Asthma PMPS 256

Well darn on that asthma attack! I hope the new place you are moving to means the lawn mower won't be going through the house.

In spite of the A, Kizzie is about where he started this morning. Who know what that cat has planned for tonight?

Re: 4/7 Kismet Asthma PMPS 256

Sorry about the asthma attack. It must have been stressful for Kismet. I hope the numbers come down slowly.

Re: 4/7 Kismet Asthma PMPS 256

Poor Kismet. I'm glad you were able to be there right away with the inhaler.

But 2 weeks is a great streak ~ if he can go that long w/o an A. attack, then I bet he can go even longer  .

Re: 4/7 Kismet Asthma PMPS 256

Hi again,
So glad that you got after that A attack right away and that Kismet is breathing easily now. I, too, hope that the place you move to will have a place to store the lawnmower!

Have a restful night, guys,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 4/7 Kismet Asthma PMPS 256

Poor Kiz! I'm glad you were there to quickly give him a puff.

I bet that was so awesome to sleep in! And Sunday mornings in bed are the best.

Well....I guess no more lawnmowing...but you're moving soon anyway

Rhiannon  I know! He is one lucky kitty! Allergic to grass?! ohmygod_smile Poor guy!

Wendy, We're moving into another townhouse ohmygod_smile I don't remember if there is a way to get around back without having to go through the house. I certainly hope so.

Sienne, it is stressful for him, but he rebounds quickly. Not 10 minutes after, he was back to playing with his mouse as though nothing had ever happened. ;-) It could be that we're just seeing another bounce, though he hasn't had a yellow PMPS for some time.

Josie, so true. I've often wondered how he does when he is home alone. His numbers are usually pretty revealing, though. Yes, this two week streak is really encouraging! I am hopeful that the next streak will be longer (and indefinite!)

Ella, thank you! Poor little guy... I hate that he has so many health issues. But we do the best that we can!

Marje, yes, it was very fortunate that I was right there. Kiz is never far when we're home, he usually hangs in the same room, so it makes it a bit easier to get to him quickly. Sundays in bed are the BEST! Today was an especially nice day... we even finished the puzzle.

Looks like K is surfing this yellow. On the bright side, SLEEP!

Sorry about the ashma attack but luckily you were there to assist immediately. Come down Kismet, it's ok now!
Thankyou for your visit Courtney. To get back to you on the hairball. Yes, I give hairball remedy to my cats every month, although they are all indoor shorthaired. During the seasonal change they have a lot of hair shedding, guess they've ingested hairball.
Rosy got another kind of formular w/o malt. To play safe, I give it to her whenever she's on low bg.
