Jack seems to be settling into the new dose as the depot stabilizes. I'm not a fan of the 100pt jump this am, I have noticed a small correlation between that quick post PS jump and not enough insulin... But like wed. night where he jumped and then quickly recovered, it isn't always accurate. For now he gets to keep his current dose, until numbers start moving.
He is still sulky about not getting loaded up with gravy yesterday, but at least he is not yapping at me every 30 minutes for more tasty treats.:D

Happy Friday to all in L&L land. Hope everyone is doing good....

...And he just started squeaking at me like I owe him some treats, silly cat.

I'd let him go for at least a few more cycles this way you'll know where the depot is and can go from there. The depot guessing game makes it that much more challenging. They sure do get into the gravy routine  I found giving Doodles "something" even LC would keep him happy while weaning him off those constant food days.

Hope your Dad's recovery is going well.

pssst.... Jack, you are headed the wrong way. I'm keeping the patience pants on to see whether this dose is too low now that depot has stabilized or if he is having a mini-bounce... or just being a rotten cat.
Figure I'll make a decision sometime this weekend and go from there.

In Jack's mind, that means I should ask for more again... He was whining 30 minutes after 2.5oz of LC food, this cat has a bottomless stomach. I think I've only filled him up twice in his life. Years ago during the holidays we wanted to see if it was possible for him to turn down food. It took a lot, but I guess you could say we both won in the end.:D

Dad is doing very good. The laparoscopic surgery is nice, he has very little discomfort and is already itching to play a little table tennis. Since they didn't have to cut out quite as much as they thought, his recovery time is shorter then they initially told him as well.

Ruh on - looks like he's starting to fail this reduction. Yesterday's cycles would have been influenced by some of the 33 and 30 and 28 units doses. I would seriously look at his dose tomorrow.

Great news on your dad's healing. Not so much on the wanting to play table tennis already. So hard to tie down our parents.

That is my thought as well. I figure I'll keep him at 24 tonight and re-evaluate what to shoot in the AM based on tonight. 2 nights ago he was low yellows and hit green the next cycle...
24 was a pretty big reduction from 33 at the start of the week, so going back up a bit isn't the end of the world. I was being a little conservative since I didn't know what the IAA was up to.

It's good he is feeling up to it.... actually playing, yeah, not quite yet buddy. He has a robot that spits balls out so he can get his fix without having to get too strenuous. Hopefully that will cure the itch since playing with other people always get the competitive spirit going and reaching for a ball you should've let go.
