Can you do your best to get a "before bed" test every evening? Many cats have lower numbers during the PM cycle and knowing that, may help see if there's some bouncing going on.
I'm not sure what you meant by having to "add" blood to the strip. I don't know if trying to do that may give you a wonky test. I probably would have retested.

Strip manufacturer says it’s fine to add if under a minute and not enough blood to register. Have done it a couple times in past and retested and it was very close.

Only use same side of strip they say. I am unemployed and have already spent a small fortune on this kitty, try to use whatever I can
If I was working I would be more likely to use a new strip.

Not sure if I should shoot, this is only second day on this dose and she is quite a bit lower than normal on PMPS

IMHO and educated? response- yes, shoot.
Even PMPS lower than norm, this is a very shootable number!

She’s at 211 30 minutes later, will go ahead, just concerned as new higher dose and this is low for her. Can’t be up checking her all night. Thx

Yes, using Insulinx strips currently, but same strip, they both say the same. It’s rare she does not bleed enough, but once in awhile.

Thanks, now I am worried because it is only second day...like it may be too high in a few days once depot fills up more. I don’t need more to worry about.

One thing you could do to help is to test at different times of day, instead of always at +6 during daytime; of course at night, at least one before bed test!
If you didn't sleep much with those high numbers, wait till you come to the little nice greenies...

One thing you could do to help is to test at different times during the day, at least not always at +6; that way it gives us a different picture of Honey's respond to insulin. Also, as Sienne mentionned a Before Bed is very important !! All those numbers will help to guide you for dosing!
