Hopefully I can grab some late cycle action, but it'll depend on when I get home. (I'm doing a little retail therapy will a friend.) But as of now, I will be home all day tomorrow. Gotta clean. Take away things cockroaches like to hide with. (I am so grossed out by this because it really seemed that they appeared suddenly! My pest appt is on Wednesday, so hopefully it doesn't get out of hand before then. Its a reputable company - pretty rare to see a 5 star rated business that has more than 5 reviews LOL. Ok, bug rant over.)

Civvie Rex gets to the vet today for her annual pokes and prods. They've necer seen her and I think they will find the night/day difference from Gordy funny. I think I scheduled the same vet Gordy saw before so I may bring up the Lev... though I won't need more pens for a while since I got a box.)

I hope Gordy slides down and surfs safely today. Sending vetty vines for Rex. I hope the pest company gets rid of the cockroaches. Sending prayers for your to get better soon.

How are you feeling about Lev so far, Cass? How is Gordy feeling on it?
I like that he isnt having extreme bounces but dislike that I haven't foubd the magic dose to get him into good numbers.

Gordy himself doesnt seem any differe t really, but I don't think he was getting any bad side effects from the Lantus its self, just the bounces .

Well, that's good news about Gordy's response to Lantus. If you find over time that he continues to bounce the same way on Lev or you find that Lev lacks duration as Stacy (and Asia) has commented on you can always go back to Lantus. I find Lev's duration quite variable in Teasel (only rarely prolonged, mostly very average to a little short) but he feels a lot better so I'm sticking with it.

So far it seems like he is currently getting full duration (just based on what Ive noticed from those +8 tests), but time will tell. *fingers crossed*

I hope that Gordy gives you some blues today!

Yikes, sorry to hear about the pest problem. Very frustrating! Those pest people are pretty great at what they do though. I imagine you don't see any more of those little buggers once they come.

Yikes on the bugs! I hope you can get rid of them soon.

Enjoy your retail therapy!

Sending vetty vines to Rex.

Come on Gordy, think blue!

He MAY go blue... I'll see what I come home too.

Man, the vet office is just.... a hot mess. I wont go back at this point since this chance #2. Why is it so hard to find a good vet =( ill write what transpired later - but Rex got a clean bill of health and she was a good girl (like usual).

PMPS 201

Shopping was fun.... spent too much money though

So vet.... its a low cost hospital, so they also take walk ins and emergencies. Well, last time I went, there were a lot of emergencies, but I got annoyed because I waited almost 2 hours before Gordy got seen... and I had an appointment. Today I got there, signed us in and sat down. Now I knew it may be a bit before I was called, but I was definitely paying attention when i heard them calling put names. Half hour goes by, I begin to get annoyed because it didn't seem like any large emergencies were happening... 45 minutes, I complain and I was told someone was checking on it. An hour, I was told I was next... then I hear them call 2 other animals and obviously neither was Rex. These animals were walk ins and very much got there AFTER me. So I went up the desk and demanded to know why i wasnt being called. I was very stern and the lady helping me immediately began apologizing. then she finds me in the system for our 10am appointment and asked who checked me in. I said that I signed the Sign In sheet like I was told. So then she had to find that. Apparently they called us and I didnt answer ... I told her that was crap and I had been sitting in the same place the whole hour and I never heard Rex get called. She wanted to argue. And then says to the effect of "maybe it was when the dogs were barking" and I just stared at her. I repeated that I was never called, and if I was, the person doing it didn't walk around looking, like they've done for everyone else. And seriously, if you think the barking from dogs would hinder people from hearing, then make a little more effort!!!! I was so turned off by it. The staff is overall nice and the vet who examined Rex was super nice and handled her with care (not that she was fighting him). The tech and him actually sat down on the floor to do the examine, which surprised me, but I think it kept her calm.

But I won't go back. I was there over 2 hours yet again and I just don't want to keep wasting my time.

(And i wrote a slightly mean google review regarding the wait time... I did say I liked everything else about the place, but the timing is unacceptable.)

I am going to do a curve tomorrow. Hopefully it gives me some answers. I really need him to stop being pink. At least with Lantus I was getting blues and greens. i know I have to give it time, but its super discouraging.
