He's had quite a drop from the R today. Maybe he's getting more responsive to it? Next time he's in the 300s I will give less R and see what happens (probably one unit less). I wonder where he's going today?

He seems better this morning after starting the Metronidazole last night. He did not have diarrhea overnight (and he had about three times the night before) and so far none this morning. His appetite seems better. This morning, he was excited to eat Tiki Cat After Dark with Quail Eggs (he likes those eggs). Hopefully, the five day course of Metro will work and the diarrhea won't come back.

I got him to eat finally, but it's all low carb food. I have to leave the house within 30 minutes. I think he's going with us to make sure he doesn't drop too much. I'll re-check him in 20 minutes or so to see if he's dropping or stabilizing.
 
He's clearing a bounce, but he seems to have flatten out now. Some LC food should keep him surfing. How long will you be gone for?

Metronidazole helped Bandit with her diarrhea but can also constipate. Even a 3 day dose should be enough if the diarrhea stops.

Yes. Thank you. He seems to be staying flat in the high greens :-) Just checked him again at 6.5 and he's 98. Excellent he's not dropping and I didn't freak out and I just fed him his regular low carb food at close to his normal time to eat and it seems to have worked out fine (whew! I'm not used to seeing greens at all!)
 
Suzanne, Darcy is looking great in those greens, but I'm sorry about the timing and your plans. I hope you two can work it out together!
Oh those quail eggs are a big hit around here too! Enjoy your day;)

That amount of R plus onset definitely was a little much today, hopefully no consequences. I found Neko's R needs went down as her L dose went down.

I don't really know where to go from here. I will cut his R back, but I'm not sure by how much. I hope we won't have big bounce (maybe just a little bounce). He's coming back up, but not too rapidly. Wendy, I was thinking maybe I should do a few cycles with no R to see where he's going just with the Levemir? I am not sure. He'll probably bounce from this anyway and I'll want to hold him down a bit with R, but I'm going to give less next time to see how it goes.
