Today's vet visit was just a tech one. Leroy had blood taken and weighed. He's at 10 pounds, which is normal for him. So now we wait for bloodwork results to come back nailbite_smile

Leroy started 0.5 ml today so we'll see if that helps. Since I got home (dropped Leroy off before heading back out again) he's drunk out of the water bowl twice and crouched a bit while whining. I fed him his usual post-dinner half raw nugget and he seems fine now. And litter box had two FD-sized clumps :?

Wal Mart didn't have Aviva test strips :? The one place that did only had the box of 100 which is more than I need and costs over $100 :shock: I'm looking online now and AccuChek has replaced the Aviva with the new Aviva Plus that uses Aviva Plus strips. The new strips are supposed to work with the old Aviva as well. I'm going to get those and some lancets.

We missed his condo yesterday...checking in to say we hope that all this is just a med reaction.

I've always been SO THANKFUL for Binksy's oversize swivelers that were easy to test...
but Leroy's got him beat in the ear department!

Binks was commenting earlier that if you used his "White Trash Headgear" to warm up Leroy's ear-
you might be forced to use a handtowel rather than a washcloth!! :lol: :lol:

I missed yesterday so had to go back and check out these ears - they are huge indeed and a lovely colour for testing on but I'm also hoping it doesn't need to become a habit for Leroy

Leroy's ears seem to warm up just fine by just holding. They get quite toasty warm One plus for being an Aby :smile:

You know, after 4 years of constantly testing Squishy's bgs I kind of miss doing it :shock: It becomes habit, esepcially when cat isn't feeling well and you want to check bg. Don't worry, Leroy's not going to end up with piercings :lol: Neither is Emma. Emma has little black ears and she doesn't like her ears played with too much but I know I can get a bg reading out of her.
