...yawn...

BigMac had a slight improvement today. And he ate two or three bites of solid food all by himself. Eating with a cone around his neck sure is a messy ordeal! cat_pet_icon

In the past 11 days, my kitty had two major surgeries, I did 4 OTJ videos, and my daughter just had a C-Section... AND I discovered that 5-Hour Energy Drink really works. :lol: :lol:
But it is hour 6 so I think I will take a nap.

Great to hear that BigMac is getting better, and I hope your daughter and granddaughter/son are doing well also!!
WOW - you sure have had A LOT going on in the past two weeks! You must be exhausted - and great that it looks like everything is going to the right direction :-D

CD, that is amazing; you've had so much going on this week. Yay for BigMac and seeing improvement, baby steps are good. Congrats on a new grandbaby and hope all is well with everyone. I wondered how the 5-hour energy worked. I hope you can get some rest in between here. More healing vines for BigMac. Hugs.
 
I'm so glad to hear that BigMac made an improvement yesterday, and ate a little bit of food. I was trying to imagine him eating all by himself.

Congratulations on the new baby. I know you will get some well deserved rest, you must be exhausted, lady.
I've always wondered about those 5 hour energy drinks, too. Good to know.
 
And you didn't mention that your DH was traveling for part of the time, while BigMac had his surgeries. I'm assuming all is well with your daughter and the baby or you would have told us. BigMac ate on his own? That is fabulous! :-D :-D Big hugs to you CD. Continuing to send healing energy to BigMac and plain ole energy to you.

So So happy to hear he ate on his own....He has gone through so so much in 2 weeks.

When all this is over, and Big Mac comes home, then you will collapse, & BOY do you deserve it!!

Congratulations are definitely in order, CD! For your new grandchild, for BigMac eating on his own, and for all you've accomplished through outrageous odds! We're so proud of you! Hang in there! Take a nap and refresh and then tell us all about your new grandbaby. :lol: I'm going out so will probably have to read it later but can't wait.

Congratulations to all on the new baby and hope all is well with your daughter and the baby. Wonderful news to read BigMac ate a little on his own. Prayers still coming....went to bed late and nervous because there was no update and kept telling myself that no news is good news. Hope you get a good snooze in today.
 
I'm glad BigMac is moving in the right direction, you've both been through so much recently! I hope you are sleeping now, you probably could sleep around the clock at this point. Congrats on your new grandchild!

I don't know how you managed to do the OTJ videos with everything else going on, but thank you!

The vines are still coming....keep resting, healing, and eating BigMac!

My daughter is doing well. The little girl baby is in the NICU due to some breathing problems, but we are sure she will be just fine.

Her two older sisters are beside themselves with excitement but have only seen photographs because they are too young to go in the NICU. So I've been bouncing around with them for a while trying to keep them from killing each other.

I managed to get a couple hours sleep before we started our day's adventures. Now I'm sitting quietly here waiting to see my kitty. :-D Lots of hospital visits lately; animal and people versions. Whew!

I am looking forward to being bored someday, Hahahaha!

So happy that things went okay with the birth of your grand daughter..hope she will be ok soon and able to see her older sisters.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. Praying that your granddaughter will be fine and out of NICU shortly. I can't believe you are taking care of the other two grandkids as well as looking after BigMac. That energy drink must really be amazing!

congrats on the new baby! I'm glad to hear BigMac is making progress. Hopefully he will be able to come home very soon. I know they need to get him stable first, but it always seems like the real improvement comes when they get home.
 
Congrats on the new little girl, Grannie - welcome yet again to Our Club. It's a good one. Don't let those other two drive you into the ground this weekend. So glad to see that your daughter is doing well and hopefully that new baby will be home with everyone very soon.

Was concerned last night when I didn't seen an update but was hoping you were resting - glad you got at least some rest. Now relax while you spend some time with the Big Mac and give him love from all of us.

Take care of yourself - keep us updated when you have a chance - and know that the healing vibes and prayers are still all headed your way.

I know you realize that I don't post much....I came on board basically to check on BigMac and I always do a general read-through to see if there is something I should know. As you know, my hands have been full lately too. (I feel like I should rent space at the Vet's office....which I'm sure you can relate to). But I'm happy to hear your boy took a few bites and hopefully tomorrow he'll take a few more.... COME ON BIGMAC!!!!

Hi Carolyn,

I hope your newest granddaughter is back with her mother today and all is well. The hospital is always extra cautious with newborns and its good that they are. I know you're exhausted babysitting too! I looked for an update last night and was a little concerned also but I'm glad you got a rest finally.

I hope BigMac is also doing better today and eating more on his own. Time to do Racci's meds so I'll check on you later.

I've been a lurker this week...checking in, but not sending good wishes in writing. Please know you, Big Mac, and your family are never far from my thoughts.

You must be so exhausted! Your strength and compassion are such an inspiration, Carolyn. Please get some solid rest soon....you really deserve it.

Sending big hugs to you and BigMac. I hope you got to see him today and I really hope he is doing even better. Once Maverick started getting fed after his abdominal surgery (Liver failure and crazy high bilirubin) I think it was day three that he was doing more than lifting his head. After that there was improvement every day.
 
Carolyn, it's great to read that BigMac is eating a little on his own. I hope he continues to get better and better! Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter. I hope she brings you and the rest of her family much joy.
 
looks like I'm late posting this, but congrats on the new grandbaby! And I have to agree with everyone else, you must be the energizer bunny right now! But please, remember to take care of yourself and get rest and fuddies in you .. BigMac, we send our love your way!
