Good evening LL!

Late late late today. Tarragon had a rough morning with liquipoo and an impromptu butt wash. All that is behind us (lol) now and he is feeling good. Mason got home last night so Tarragon is a happy guy.

The pool is done and filling. We are suppose to get rain Monday night -Thursday so hopefully it will be filled by then. Slow going but we are making progress. The race went great this morning. My first 10K and it felt great and I didn't finish last! :-D Mason and DH did great as well. The guys are at a boxing match tonight. One of our BFF is fighting. It was in Muskogee, which is about an hour away, and started at T's shot time so I stayed home.

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Re: 4/6 Tarragon PMPS 195

Hi Melissa. Nice PM start for Tarragon tonight. Had to laugh at the impromptu butt wash. We have a Norwegian Forest Cat and butt washes were a regular occurrence. We managed to help her lose a few pounds and since then; only one butt wash in two months. She can now bend enough to do the job herself daily.

Glad they finished your pool and it's filling. Does your water authority give you a break on your bill for filling a pool? Ours cuts the rate for the gallons used to fill the pool to almost nothing as long as it's not done more than once every few years. It might be worth giving them a call. Check out Jack's Magic for your start up.

Finishing your first 10k is quite an accomplishment. Congratulations.

Have a great weekend Melissa.

I'm glad T is feeling better tonight. Yay on that PMPS and Mason is home! What could be better in T's world? :-D :-D Congrats on the race. Is that the first one of the season or the first 10K ever?

Re: 4/6 Tarragon PMPS 195

It was my first one ever. We started running two years ago (this race actually) and I've run 20 5K's. I've stuck to 5K's because of my RA and because I was chicken. My rheumatologist gave me the go ahead. Next up is a half marathon in Nov as a 45th birthday present to myself.

I'm glad T is feeling better (sympathetic pre-race pangs??) and congrats on the race!!

Yeehaw! Good for you! Good luck with the training for the half marathon. That will be fun. Are DH and Mason doing it too? I like to have a race to keep me motivated for running regularly.

Re: 4/6 Tarragon PMPS 195 +2 200

DH ran his 4th half today and is moving on to marathons. His first is in OKC for the memorial run in three weeks. Mason is going to train with me and do the half as well.

H Melissa - looks like a good day for Tarragon, despite the AM butt wash.... I am glad all is forgiven.

Congrats to all on successful runs. that is way cool. Kudos too to DH for moving onto marathons. I admire anyone that can run those. Kudos to you to for taking on the half marathon - wow!

Enjoy your evening - hope it is a good one. Way cool too on the pool!
