Skooter Easter Condo 4/5

Just a quick note before I head out the door for TBP.

Skooter is doing WONDERFULLY. He had his last dose of pain meds today. I am not sure he needed them the whole time, but felt it was better to be safe than sorry. He is currently snoring by my side. I hate that I have to wake him shortly so I can get up for work.

I am anxious to get him in to get the other toofers out, but I understand why they want to wait the six weeks, to give him time to heal and such.

Well, I guess I have stalled enough......off I go.....

Greetings!

So Skooter got his last round of pain meds this morning. My question is should I be prepared for any huge changes in his PM cycle becuase he will no longer of the "influence" of the pain meds?

Thanks!

Max didn't drop at all when off the pain meds but it also took him more than 10 days to get back to good numbers. I think it's a ECID thing.

Glad Skooter is doing so well. Nice recovery there, Skooter!:)
Cuz Michael here, Sometime in the future,I have to have some toofers removed too. My vet wants to wait until I'm a little more regulated.:cat: (My mamma is a nervous wreck, I will calm her:cat:)

Glad some experienced folks could weigh in on the off-pain-meds question. I'll just weigh in with WAY TO GO SKOOOOOOOOOOTSMAN!

Shouldn't make any difference, but ECID!

China's numbers didn't change dramatically from when we stopped the bupe...the reason we give the bupe in the first place is for pain (which can increase BG)...by the time you're off the bupe, there shouldn't be any pain to effect the numbers....that's the theory anyway.....LOL

we didn't see changes either. Usually it's the other way around, that pain meds can reduce blood sugar because pain can inflate BGs. I wouldn't worry about it.

The bean is getting more and more relieved......I was hoping for some green, but I will take this, one itsy number away from "normal range"....

Not sure if this has anything to do with his not having pain meds or what....I have a few errands I need to go run (so tired, but needs to get done), so when I get home I will probably do another test and if he is around the same (hopefully not much higher), then I might try to get a decent night sleep.

Not really like the direction he is going, at this rate, I will be in for a lellow preshot number tomorrow.

I am trying to think this is just a cawinkydinky, or perhaps just adjusting, but I sure hope he levels off here soon.....
