4/6 PMPs 113 +185 +2 85 +3 85 +4 94

You shot 101 before :).

As long as you will be around and able to test, have strips and honey, MC and feel confortable with monitoring and acting if BG is low, the reccomendation is to go ahead if you are above 50 (for experience carers).

Is great to see Brian in better numbers!

Ok will do thank you! - feed a little each hour and tests into hour 4. Honey into fancy feast if drops too low. Thnx for the reassurance, hopefully my confidence improves soon!

He's a much happier cat now ty!

The usual pattern (remember ecid) is that if the +2 is similar to AMPS that he is unlikely to dive very fast and you can keep up with what is going on by testing every two hours. If the +2 is lower, heads up! keep every hour until is clearer what he is doing. So far Nate has not been too much of a crazy diver, so let's hope it stays that way :)

So check +2 and decide then what to do next

of course nothing wrong with testing +1. I do so when I am not sure Hercules has not finished going down, as when he is breaking a bounce. or he is very close to 50 at shot time. But just so you know the +1 is heavy influeced by food, so it is usually higher.

Hi Brian,

I just looked at your spreadsheet. It looks like it will be an active cycle. So probably best to continue meassuring every hour.
If it was me, and I saw a significant drop by +4 I might give a bit of MC, but let's hope he cruises through!
what do you think @Butters & Lyla ?

Also possible that he may bounce from the greens like he did yesterday. When they are new to green, they just dip their toes in it and then bounce. Don't stay very long in green.

ETA: Please take off the question in your thread title and add the numbers for the cycle? Thanks! :-)

I think I'd give a little LC right now with each test to see if he continues to stay flat. I'd only feed MC if he dips lower.

Thank you for the input and advice everyone, super helpful! Looking like he's up a little bit so maybe will do what was said above and bounce a little? I'll keep checking every few hours from now just incase. He barely had a few bites at +1 and +2 compared to the same time yesterday, but other than that none, so I'm guessing he's bouncing based on that. I do have gravy lovers if he needs. Thanks again!

I would be surprised if he heads lower after +4. He is new to greens and will bounce from them but he is clearing bounces very fast which is great. His bounces are also shallower. Both are indications that his body is getting comfortable in lower numbers :-)

Use the gravy lovers when you need higher carbs rather than honey. Mixing LC and HC can give you MC. Will involve some trial and error. :-)

Thanks Bhooma! I've been staring at this spreadsheet thinking of a low after +4 would be unlikely. So happy he is responding and getting used to it, hopefully he sticks to this trajectory. Thnx for the tip with the medium carb mixture... I'm anticipating that coming into play at some point. Such an informative learning experience on this forum, very grateful
