Yesterday
Morning! Shadow has 3 Ps so far today. We had a busy day yesterday after a nice start. He suddenly began vomiting...with a little bit of hair and bile at about +5 and then again at +6. I fed him early at +7 and gave him some carafate after he vomited again. I decided to watch at night after dinner to see if he was able to keep down his food...then decided on a BCS shot anyway. It's a long night and I didn't want to take a chance on his having a full complement of insulin onboard with his delicate digestion issues.
Good news is: he kept his food down all night long and managed to eat satisfactorily too. This morning he ate his breffis and got his regular insulin dose.
So far, so good. Fingers crossed that he will keep the food down where it belongs today. He was acting okay yesterday, it's just sad when you hear the wretching noise....I know it takes a lot out of him.
