Yesterday was..... full of hope. The amps yesterday was awesome - a nice gorgeous blue... The rest of the day was not so pretty, downright ugly and a tad bit disappointing: but amongst all that was this wonderful blue amps. Somewhere amongst all that dark foreboding color of the top floor was this bright blue. They are in there Mannie, you just need to find them. Perhaps together we can do that. Works for me, how about you? I hope for a good day today, blues would be so cool! Mannie - here's to you, some very strong feel better, be blue vines. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

It was a difficult morning yesterday. One could tell that he just did not feel well, and it showed in his appy which was more or less non-existent. It was a struggle to get enough in him in order to give him his shot. Things were much better in the PM cycle, with a good appy at shot time. That however, as is the norm these days, wanes as the nght goes on,. By +2 he was done, and would eat no more. We keep on truckin', he does the best he can. DGS was good with him yesterday - more pets and he was so gentle! His pets made Mannie all squinty-eyed. Love it. Most of the day Mannie spent napping. It was tough start for him yesterday, but he seemed to be better by the evening hours. Must have been the influence of Nicholas. ;-) The jury is still out on today. Appy was so so this morning. LB is normal, Ketones tests have been negative. Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D yes, it is normal. Mannie said so.

Have a great day everyone. it is the usual Caturday catch-up day here, with shopping, laundry, errands, bills.... FUN! not... Weather is rains rains rains... if I get lucky I will get a break where I can take a woods to shore hike. heck - I may just go anyways. :lol: :cool:

Hey everybody! What's up? I know.... my beegees.... I is working on that - I swear! Hey - Maui invited us all to go to NYC with her. I bet we get to take the jet! SWEET! I hear we is going to see Cats... maybe even dance and sing on stage. Cool huh!! I so hope we get to go and get some hot dogs. I luvs them street vendors... You guys in? This will be so funs!! I got the bus all ready to go! ~~ Mannie

And completely OT: Here's the Picassa link to the photos from DGS, DD and my adventure yesterday:Swimming. Picassa also uploads the videos. so... look for the picture with the little triangle that indicates video. More often than not they are at the end (maybe), and Picassa doesn't rotate them, so sorry on the sideways viewing... anyways - here's the link: Swimming! After swimming Nichoals always takes a nap - he is just worn out. I had go in to check on him. His pose in that little bed he sleeps in cracked me up. I wish I could sleep so relaxed: Swimming is HARD Work!

This morning's # is pink, which is far better than red or black (anti-jinx!). I just wish that he'd like a lower carb food, though. It would be interesting to see if his #s come down on something with lower carbs than what we're seeing. Picky, Mannie... Picky, picky, picky! :lol: I hope that he continues to show you better #s today. Mannie, can you slide on down to the blue lagoon for your Momma Bean, please? There's plenty of room, no joke! Fingers and paws crossed for a good day for the Mannster today. Have you tried sprinkling his food with a little FortiFlora? Apparently the flavor is irresistible. Whatever works! For example, Rusty is absolutely enthused about the flavor of his Standard Process Allerplex capsule mixed into a teaspoon of turkey baby food. He eats it as if it were "candy". I haven't put it into his regular food, but maybe you might try it sprinkled on Mannie's food to entice him to eat? It is entirely holistic and doesn't have any harmful chemicals in it. You can get it at Amazon.

Those swimming (and sleeping) pics of Nicholas are great. He sure is having a ball in the pool. How lucky he is to have the opportunity to learn to swim at such a young age. All kids should have a great granny like you!

It does sound like mornings are hardest for Mannie and then things get easier later hours of the day. It's good he is eating though. Mannie, did you snag any bacon this morning from the Beans?

Yay! It's Catsday today! I am so excited, I've got the wagon packed, the jet is picking everyone up as I speak and it is another sunny, warm day here. We gots front row seats for Cats and we are going to be the special guests and go on stage to since and dance and play!

and the hot dog vendors are all lined up outside the theater just for us. and guess what after the show we are going to take a double decker bus ride around the city and then we are going to do a fuds and cookie tour too! we will stop at all the restaurants and bakeries and get yummy tastes to eat and bring home with us.

ooooh boy, I am so excited to get this day started.

Better, but still no Big Blue! Sunny day here, I'd definitely trade for some of your rain.

Oh! on the fuds! ohmygod_smile You have all of LL racking their brains trying to remember everything we have tried to stimulate appetite. Do look for the NV raw food when you are running errands, usually at more "boutique" type pet stores or I've also found it at "feed" stores but not the big boxes. It has made a great difference in Tess eating well. If not that then if he likes chicken, feed him chicken. there are supplement powders you can add for the missing nutrients.

Remember when we were discussing cranberry for a UTI supplement? I tried the PetNaturals of Vermont UTI treats fro Tess and the Calming treats for Emma. They both went nuts for them! Emma tries to climb into the treat can and I've crumbled them on her food to get Tess to eat when she is feeling picky. If you can find them they may work for an appy stimulant too. I have seen some of the company's treats in stores, it might have been Petco.

The BF used to work all the time, but even that doesn't work anymore. shesshhh! So fortiflora is next - and yes, got mine on amazon too. THX on the pics! and i agree too: he already does doggie paddle and sometimes we get a face in the water swim, almost freestyle. It's wonderful to see how much he likes the water.

Hi barb ~O) ~O) ~O) today was a +2 fuds spike day - it is great to see him turn that around. And no..... he will never give that up: spike at +2! :lol: :lol: Mannie is like Checks in eh cuddle dept, especially as he has aged. When he was young he did, but it has been years since he cuddled. Wallas when and if he wants some. DGS was been an exception. We seems to be getting those sun breaks - so hope they are still there when he wakes up.

They are on my list. I had meant to do that earlier, but with all that has happened the past few weeks it was tabled, and I never got back to it.

262 @ pmps. Appy was ok, but only to a point. When he's done, he's done. I tried some fortiflora on what was left, and that really got his attention. He finished up most of it, with the remaining teaspoon hitting the target after some minor bowl chasing. With adequate food on board he got his shot. He seems to be feeling ok this afternoon. Most of the day was spent sleeping, with one foray out onto the deck for some sniffs. All in all, an OK day in MannieLand.

Hi Barb - many thanks! this is so nice to see. He ate OK, took a little encouragement, and two varieties, with the main meal. The additional +1 went OK too. Not great, but bottom line he did eat all In asked, and it was better than this morning.

Nice numbahs, Mannie!! I know what you mean about the appy....Mario was often a bit iffy, too, but he kept plugging away (with some bowl chasing, too), sweet guy that he was.

Hi Courtney - it's been a so so day. Nothing awful, but nothing great either, just very subdued and laid back, sleeping alot. It is better than yesterday though! He seems to be getting around OK today, which is really nice. I too think that maybe he needs for Nicholas pets. :-D :-D
