I suspect today's AMPS is a bit higher because I had to feed Cobb about an hour and a half before his shot. He likes to food spike, so...I'm sure he'll come back down later today.

Cloudy skies already this morning. My weather app says it should stop raining and be sunny for a few hours this afternoon. That will be the perfect time for our walk, and for Matt to grill out! I love Spring and Summer!!!

Hope your Sunday is going well!

oh cobb - another great day for you! keep it up!

bbq sounds fun! a little too soggy here for that today, but the forecast is for sunny 70's all week i think, so maybe tomorrow. nom nom nom i bet Cobb loves a little bbq meat (no sauce for him, of course!)

Cobb got some chicken instead of steak, but that's because I ate it all!

I'll be calling the vet tomorrow to see about Cobb's test results. Hopefully they have called to get them. If not, then I'll have to remind them to do so, and send me the report as well.

I also bumped up his dose a bit. Maybe we can get him in the lower 100s consistently and perhaps see a little more green. I think he's finally getting used to these numbers. He's feeling good. Not as ornery with Matty either, which makes for a much more peaceful house!

Back to the grind tomorrow. The grind for me being applying to jobs! I wish I could find a legit work from home job that involves writing, not sales.

Another nice flat blue day for Cobb! :-D :-D Ignoring the food in the AM that is.

BBQ - got me hungry now! There have been a few neighbours around here start their's up when I'm in the middle of gardening. How inconsiderate not to share! But it is a great sign of spring. Lucky Cobb on the chicken. That's a good reward for being less ornery. :-D

Good luck on the job hunt. I didn't know you were a writer. I used to work with people in the software business where some of the writers worked at home - but it's a bit of a specialized business. Another home based writer are people who write grants or newspaper columnists.

I'm surprised you've had to wait a week on the test results for IAA. Maybe the vet has to add their "value" for the extra charge. I think my vet just had it emailed from the lab.

Looks like a nice day for Cobb. I hope the dosecrease brings some more greens. Ugghhh on the job hunt; it's always so stressful trying to get all of the resumes, cover letters, etc. pulled together. Hopefully you'll find the perfect job soon so you can avoid as much of that application stuff as possible!

Sending good vetty report vines for Cobb!

It is inconsiderate to not share!!

I'm guessing the vet is still irritated that we questioned the charge so she's making us wait the 7-10 days she quoted us. And then there is the "interpreting" she has to do with the results.

Yep...I've been a local tv news producer for 10 years. But working holidays, especially because Matt works in the biz too, isn't condusive to having kids! One parents okay, but both is difficult. Matt wants to get out of the biz too, but he's a little more specialized that me - since I write, I can write anything...for websites, papers, etc. He's a director so more technical, equipment-wise, than I am. The problem is no one knows what a TV producer does, so my résumé looks incredibly specialized when all they really need to see is I write and can design graphics, and publish web sites. Frustrating...

Thanks Shelly! I'm so tired of filling out my work history. I don't understand why companies want a résumé when you have me put the exact same info in a computer application. It is redundant! And tedious! The right job will come along at some point. I'm thankful to have the extra time with Matty and more time to work on getting Cobb better too. I just miss adult interaction, lol.

our community college had "live and learn with your baby/toddler" classes - i think i might've told you that already. The women i met in that class are still my closest friends. Ya need support from people who are in the boat with you!

Interesting that you're a writer. I toyed with the idea of writing a book when I left youth ministry, but couldn't motivate myself. LOL. so apparently it wasn't right for me.

It does seem like a skill that would be applicable in a lot of different careers. Wish I had contacts in your area. That makes all the difference. One of my friends has her own business as a graphic artist and she belongs to a group of women small-business owners. They meet weekly to network and learn new business skills. i wonder if there's anything like that you could plug into? I'll ask her how a person would find a networking group. Maybe the Chamber of Commerce? Are you interested in being self-employed?

I certainly wouldn't mind being self-employed...as long as I could anticipate having some kind of income. I'd love to do something with blogging, web site content publishing, proof reading/copy editing books, writing manuals, etc.

My dad has written 3 books and is working on a 4th right now. He started writing when he retired from education. His first book shocked everyone...it's a romance novel (think: Nicholas Sparks, not Fabio on the cover). I mean, we were shocked to see the stories. I copy edited two of his books and would love to do that.

Or something in media relations. I keep up my contacts in the news business. I'd love to be the person to facilitate people telling their stories, especially for non-profits or something that can help people. I even looked into the animalnetwork.com...maybe writing and publishing info on FD since I'm immersed in it right now, but I'm having trouble finding contact info for the news editors and I think they're headquartered in L.A.

And then there is the "interpreting" she has to do with the results.
The lab gives a percentage for IAA. Above 20% means it's a factor, below it's not. And there are ranges but I didn't even get that. All I got was "Insulin AutoAntibody 52% - reference range <=20%".

I took a couple on-line courses at our local technology institute on non profit communications. Good way to make contacts in the industry.
