Good luck with the increase Briana and Binx!
And good luck with switching vets.

I’ve had to do it multiple times in the past few years since Ivy was diagnosed with FD. It’s not something I wanted to do but just out of circumstance had to do it.

The vet I was using when she was diagnosed, told me a month after her diagnosis that she was going to Florida for the winter and would not be available and I should find someone with whom I could work in her absence.
I had only been with her for a few months at that time, so I wasn’t that invested, even though I did like her.

I certainly couldn’t not have a vet available for the entire winter, so that forced us to switch, and then I switched again about nine months ago.
It’s been quite a process in the past several years. :arghh:
I’m hoping I’m in a good place, but you just never know, like you said.

Wishing you lots of good luck with that process :bighug::bighug:

I'm hoping this dose does it for him again, too, Briana. He HAS seen some blues lately, so this dose might be the one to push him back over into lower numbers. I'm thinking about your recent post about his health issues, and I'm wondering if any of those problems are having something to do with his current higher numbers. Have you made a decision yet about the ultrasound? I seem to recall you were considering finding another vet??

Hi Briana :)
Good luck with the increase. i guess it's time to wear the patience pants?! :banghead:

I hope you'll find a vet that inspires confidence. I know how hard this can be. I think you're doing the right thing to look for a vet that would make you feel supported when you need to read U/S results. That makes a huge difference.

Wishing you a lovely Sunday :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good luck with the increase! I know you know I can relate to what you're going through. It really is so frustrating and at some point it starts to be really difficult to be optimistic. I definitely get the "not holding my breath." I hope that you're wrong and Binx heads on down to the surf to play! You need a break, especially with the stress of having to switch vets.

I'm so sorry you're having to go through all of this at once! It always seems to happen that way.

Sending you hugs!! ❤️:bighug:❤️

A whole winter would've definitely been too long! My current vet only works Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and the time between Friday and Tuesday sometimes felt like too long :arghh: Glad you've been able to switch when you've needed to - it certainly doesn't seem easy. Hopefully the latest vet is working out well?

Thanks for the well wishes :bighug: Hope you and Ivy are having a nice night!

Yes! Some blues has been better than none  I do wonder the same, about the other potential issues and also wondering about his teeth actually. My vet had said they looked alright, but the doubt in me is questioning it. I've connected with the new vet and requested all of Binx's record from the old vet! Hopefully the process moves quickly now - going to be following up daily for those records because I don't want the new vet going in blind. Hopefully will have an update this week!

Have a great night, Mary :cat: Thanks for always checking in on us!

Thanks, Shelly :cat: I know so many of us struggle with our vets, which is heartbreaking. Hopefully the pain of switching will be worth it, because like you said, makes a huge difference.

Thanks so much, Brianna :bighug: I definitely know you can relate, which I wish wasn't the case. It is helpful though to know that others are going through or have gone through the same... makes you feel less alone (and maybe less crazy??)... but I hope both our guys steady out soon.

I know you have a lot of variables up in the air too at the moment. When it rains, it pours, right?

Sending hugs back to you and Xander :bighug::bighug:

Sorry, Briana that you are going through this. I know the frustration of finding the right vet. I have switched a few times and am always questioning.
Good luck with the increase. I hope this dose gives you lower numbers.
Wishing you both a restful evening and safe surf. Sending hugs :bighug::bighug::bighug:
