Hello LLL!

Last condo: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/4-4-billie-pmps-325-doing-well-today.135696/

Billie has been a little off today and yesterday - not eating quite as much, although she seems better so far this afternoon. She greeted me when I got home with groceries, and she is napping on the bookshelf now. Someone had a couple borderline diarrhea soft poos, and I was actually suspecting Brooklyn because of the location in the litter box (she has a favorite poo corner), but maybe it was Billie.

I am thinking chicken is to blame - yesterday and today, I tried EVO chicken & turkey, and that is coinciding with the soft poos. All week before that, she was getting only rabbit and pork, and all poos looked good. Both vomit incidents from the past couple weeks also happened when the girls were eating chicken. So, no more chicken. Hopefully, that solves the problem. She is still getting ondansetron twice a day.

I went for a dosecrease because Billie's numbers have been high overall, and she is eating enough that I think it's safe to increase.

Sending lots of vines to all the kitties and beans needing them. I hope everyone has a nice night.

Sending vines to Miss Billie. Have you ruled out turkey as the culprit? At least with raw food, turkey is harder to digest than chicken.

Thanks Wendy! It could also be the turkey. I'm going to stay away from both. I'm also going to stay away from carrageenan - EVO has it and none of the other food the girls eat has it. I went for a haul at the pet store today and got Instinct pork and rabbit, and Weruva lamb that we have never tried.

I hope you get the food part worked out. It is so hard. I've also read that a study was done and some of the companies don't list but use more than one protein source even when the label says only one. How's that for torturing us?
I actually marvel at some who are able to feed many different proteins and brands without incidents.

Food detective on duty. Or maybe doooty. Hope the clues lead you to eliminating the culprit.

Luck to you on the dosecrease, too.

Interesting. I have no problems with the Evo Chicken and Turkey. My kitties don't care for the Instinct brands, so far in any flavor.

I hope Billie's poos gets back to normal quickly and that she continues to eat for you. Sending appy and poo vines to help!
