Good morning!

We've been without internet for the past two days. :/ Finally got the mifi back so we're back up and running until the cable people get out to fix our normal connection.

I've brought the spreadsheet up to date and we're just moving along. Saturday night she was fed HC food later in the evening (accident). She was higher and flat yesterday but today she's starting off a little better.

Here's a link to the last thread (4.4)

Happy and healing vines to everyone!

She's not reached her normal nadir so I will continue to check. I've fed her a small portion of food and will check her in 15 minutes. Is there anything else I should do or do differently?

Oops... that's a mistake. It's been +4 right now as I type. It was plus 3.75 when I typed. I'll go fix it. Using the Relion meter. I'll check back after my fix. (I'm sorry)

Hi, does Zoey normally nadir at around +6?

That 56 is fine in itself, but we don't really want her dropping much lower than that.
It may be that you can steer this with ordinary low carb food. Let's see what the next test result brings and reassess then.

LC food brought her up to 64. I'll test her in another 15 to see if she continues to rise. Yes, her normal nadir is around +6 so she's got a few hours to go. I'll keep a close eye and post her BGs in the title for watchful eyes to easily see. If I see it go down, I'll feed a little bit more LC food.

Just for those that follow, as of this post now, she's at +4 and she's at 64 (a rise of 8 BG with the food snack). Her shot time is 5:30 ET. I've corrected the ss and title. (Fuzzy math this morning was fuzzy brain that was just waking up from a quick nap and panic.)

OK,
So, she's at +4 and has 2 hours to go until nadir (if it's a 'typical' cycle for her)?
It's good that she hasn't dropped further, and is showing a slight rise. She may be able to coast through until nadir with low carb snacks if needed. BUT, if she drops and/or you are at all concerned, then DO post for help.

Will check back here soon. But I think there should also be more Lantus users around shortly (I'm a PZI gal...)

Oh, good grief! I'm looking at two different clocks and somehow my clock on my desk is wrong. I gotta fix it again. :/

Thanks @Elizabeth and Bertie, she is rising and I've got plenty of HC food on hand if she takes a dip below 50. She has no issues with eating so I "think" we have it under control. I'm fully awake now and will once again correct the numbers where needed.

Kitties usually take 20-30 minutes before any carbs you feed make it to the blood stream, so you can probably test a little further apart at this point.

And nadirs can and do change. Sometimes if they want to go low, they do it earlier in the cycle. You should still monitor her closely until her "usual" nadir, just in case. Never trust a kitty!
