Good Morning LL! Very brief bounce last night, I crashed early, thank goodness for DH, he got up and tested and caught that wonderful slide throughout the night.

I've been trying to figure out the conversion for Frontline Plus. We got Tess weighed on the kitchen scale, 8.4lbs (I'm glad to say she is still eating a full can of Wellness, so she should start gaining a little) At.03ml/lb, Tess needs .25 ml or 25 units on an insulin syringe. I've figured out how to remove the needle, now I just need to find a glass vial to store the rest. One treatment for a 44lb. dog will last her 5 months and it's the same price for a package as for 3 months for a cat. probably a better dosage too since they have a one size fits all approach to cats! Each vial for cats contains .5ml which is twice what Tess should have according to the weight chart. No wonder she loses fur where we apply the stuff! :-x

WCR All 5 Ps Again and a hungry kitty waiting for the beans to get up, Tess thought that she'd give an optimistic nudge to get up at +11, but it didn't work. We do need to move her shot time up though since I start teaching again in 2 weeks. :?

Just got the +2~102, down at +2, almost green here we go! :-D

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 +2~102

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 +2~102

No clue on the frontline.... I am unfortunately a one dose fits all applier.... then again mine are all in the 12+ lb range.

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 +2~102 +4~89

Wow...I love how Tess is rockin' this dose!!! It's just perfect for her...gets her into green but not crazy scary green and she's really clearing those bounces out fast if she even bounces at all. WONDERFUL!!!

Tess...where we gonna find RUBY SLIPPERS??????

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 +2~102 +4~89 +6~90

Great!! Tess has a nice green surf going today  Ann is running errands with her mom, so DH is watching for the dive. But nice numbers so far.

Michelle, I got the Frontline figured out. I hadn't realized how much more she was getting than she needed. The real reason is to save money, most of the cost is in the packaging. Many places charge the same no matter what size pet you are getting it for, at most only about $5 more than the cat for the largest dog size. so if you have multiple cats you can do several w/ one dog sized vial and not even have to save the leftovers. The insulin syringe w/ the needle removed worked great. Tess's .25ml. was the same as 25u and it was much easier to apply!

I saw this over in Health a while ago. Here's the link if anyone is interested. http://www.lisaviolet.com/cathouse/advantage.html

Hi Ann, and thanks! I will have to look into that - the stuff is so expensive, and I'm all for saving money. :-D

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123...+4~89 +6~90 +9~54 +10~52 +11~49

LOL Be careful, Ann... you start asking those questions at +11 and she might just give you an even lower +12!!

It is BOS night here in LL!!

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 PMPS~50 KAWABUNGA!

Ann, i've done that for my cats with the frontline. The vet tech told me that the best way to store the left-over frontline as you use it is in the syringe. You don't even have to open the individual packet of frontline up - you can poke the needle through the foil & withdraw the amount you need for Tess. Then you twist off the needle by grabbing the plastic at the base of the needle. squirt the frontline on her.

then you put the needle back on, withdraw the rest of the frontline from the packet, eject a majority of the air and replace the plastic cap. store it til the next month. i can't actually remember how you get it out the next month to measure it for Tess. I think i didn't have enough left over and withdrew more from the next packet.

i did my 2 cats and my daughter's 2 cats like that all last summer when they were staying with us. saves a lot of $$.

nice numbers for Tess today.

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 PMPS~50 +1~78 +2~61 KAWABUNGA!

Ahhh, I wimped out and fed 9%. This is a little low for +2 on Lev. This may be an all nighter.

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 PMPS~50 +1~78 +2~61 KAWABUNGA!

KK IS BACK!!!!

Ann....what awesome b2b cycles for Tess. I know you are thrilled and we are thrilled for you. Great hootin'!!!! Hope you aren't up all night. Wow...

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 PMPS~50 +1~78 +2~61 +3~53

It's definitely going to be a long night. Fed more 9%.

Although, her numbers might be going up. Tess had a new visitor tonight, a very laid back Tabby! Tess was snarling and growling and striking at the kitchen door. He just sat there and watched her.    Sorry Willie, you may have competition.

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 PMPS~50 +1~78 +2~61 +3~53

Tess snarling???? What an awesome surf here tonight. I think we may need to bring some ~O) ~O) ~O) with the PJs.

Gracie is taking the slow boat to green so I'm going to bed and Mike is testing. Hope you manage to get some rest!!

Re: 4/5 Tess AMPS~123 PMPS~50 +1~78 +2~61 +3~53 +4~50

Excitement doesn't seem to bother her, but still pretty much the same. Fed 15% and testing again in an hour, power napping time.
