So far so good, but I am a little concerned with the numbers over 100 last night, and this morning we are starting out very close to 100 and Sammy got some of the Max Cat Duck this morning. I turned my back for one minute and he started eating Crystal's food. I don't think he got that much, but he did get some. I will probably test at +3 this morning to see where he is.

I am also still wondering if those strange inverted curves would have an effect on his BG for the first few days off off insulin, would he still be working on that depot even though it was a very small amount?

@Wendy&Neko I am still giving the MiniMeals, and do plan on doing it as much as possible. Sammy does seem to only eat a bit at first and then goes back for more 30-60 minutes later, but I am still limited what I put on the plate for him.

Hope everyone has a great Easter. It will be nice to go off to a family gathering and not be worried about what is happening at home.

We like to see them mostly green, but a few trips into low blues is OK too!!

Maybe this is Sammy's Easter gift to you...being able to leave and not worry!!

Have a wonderful Easter day Tina!

@Chris & China What is the threshold for whether or not the OTJ Trial is working or not. I am pretty sure at least some of those low 100's were caused by feeding the wrong food, so I am going to be really careful with his diet for the next week or so and hopefully we will see him drop back down a bit.

Would be nice if Sammy would graze instead of asking for fresh food for each mini meal.

The depot from when he was getting insulin can last 4-6 cycles. If you see a blue PS and test 3-4 hours later and he's down to green, I wouldn't worry. He did bring it down for this morning. And try not to test so much!
