Happy Easter to all kitties and beans!

Rusty is eating his Easter breakfast. He ate almost all of his nighttime food. The full Pink moon was brilliant here last night and I'm sure it was just as perfect at the pink-beach cove on Bermuda, where the kitties had their party.

And then this morning we woke up to 4 inches of new snow!! It looks like a winter wonderland out there. But the sun is shining and it is a spring sun, so even the cold weather today and the predictions of a cold week ahead don't dampen our Easter Sunday spirits. I remember an Easter snowstorm in NYC in the early 1980s. We went to the Gugenheim Museum and saw a fascinating show of the works of Moholy Nagy that included a wonderful film that he had made on lobsters. I've never been able to eat a lobster since! Then we walked in a snowy Central Park. Today we're going to make a couple of dishes for Easter dinner with friends.

Wishing you all a lovely day,

Ella & Rusty

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Happy Easter! and Happy Easter to you too Rusty. You surf well today, you are off to a great start!

And more snow???? I swear it will be officially Summer before you guys can even think Spring.:rolleyes: Well, hope not... I do believe however that it has to be ever so pretty outside there this morning: sunshine on fresh snow. Outstanding! I liked the NYC snow story.

Enjoy your Easter, how nice to be able to share it with friends. The family will be over here this morning, for an Easter Brunch and egg hunt for Nicholas and William. Should be a great start to the day.:woot:

Have the best today!

Sounds beautiful, but be careful out there. No more falling on the ice and snow! Have a great dinner w/ your friends.

Yo, Rusty! Is you still getting pink sand out of your fur? I'm glad we had the pontoons, we woulds never have gotten the bus out of all that sand! -- Tess

Your Easter snowstorm reminded me of when we first moved down here to the Lake of the Ozarks. One of the local churches has been doing an outdoor play for many years on Easter morning and when we moved down here, me, my now ex-husband and our 2 kids got "volunteered" as cast members. Every Easter morning for over 10 years we were in that play and every Easter morning it was either wet, cold, sleeting, snowing or in some way just plain nasty! Our costumes were VERY lightweight and we all wore sandals so several years we were in sandals and walking through the snow!

The community loved it (of course they could stay in their cars and watch!) but it was definitely a labor of love to be up that early and put up with the awful weather we had!

Hope you guys have a great Easter day and Rusty surfs safely!

Happy Easter!!

Sounds like a wonderful day, Ella. There's even something magical about the new snow on a spring morning.

Enjoy the day. But be safe out there!

Rusty's doing a great recovery after that Full Moon Party last night. Those long haired cats and pink sand make for tricky grooming.

Snow?! I remember once seeing snow on April cherry blossoms here, and it was gone two hours later. Be careful out there and enjoy the dinner.

Hmmmmmm, must send you some more animal movies ;)

Rusty - my head hurts, and I've got sand in my ears, what happened!?!? I kinda lost track after the third bottle of brandy

Take heart, Ella. We once had snow on Easter in Tucson, AZ! My DSIL woke me that morning with "Merry Christmas!" We agreed that Mother Nature got her holidays confused. This, too, shall pass!

Glad to hear Rusty's eating well today. Cinco must have had a heck of a time at the party. He certainly got my attention this morning!

I hope your weather warms up soon so you can get out and do all the things you love to do.

Thanks, everyone, for visiting. Sorry I did't return the visits. We had a really nice dinner and evening with our friends. Rusty was the perfect host. And he ate all his fuds.

See you tomorrow,

Ella & Rusty
