hi all,
i debated on whether to open a condo today...i'm really at a loss for words at the sudden loss of Maverick......my heart goes out to Karrie as she mourns the loss of her beloved furbaby....prayers for her and DH in this very difficult time....

my pneumonia is better slowly better...able to lie down without feeling awful now...

Rocket has been his usual self...demanding usual self at that....meowing early in the morning before shot time....he is way too hungry lately...has gained lots of weight...and i know it's the pred...so i fear this will bring complications later on...

currently he is on the balcony enjoying some sun...

haven't updated his SS and i can't find the last post so i can't link it...sorry...

continued prayers for those kitties that are struggling with illnesses as well as for those who have lost their furbabies....

if you read my condo...i just want to say how sorry i am...you were there for me when i found out of the news of Rocket's cancer dx as you were the person i called....please know that i'm here ALWAYS if you want to talk to someone....you know my number

Hey Claudia,

It sure is a rough day in LL. Maverick will truly be missed.

Rocket's numbers are looking pretty good for all I know. I am happy to hear that you are feeling better, too.

Claudia: It is certainly a sad, sad day here. We all love Karrie and Maverick and looked forward to the day we could celebrate an OTJ party with them.
I'm sorry to hear you've been so sick....and sorry I haven't been to your condo. I do think about you and keep you all in my prayers. I'm glad Rocket is doing so
much better and eating/gaining weight even if it is the pred. But it might not entirely be. I've had cats on pred that didn't gain weight. I'm just glad he is better
so you can get better. (((Claudia))).

forgot to say on the opening condo that my mother had her knee replacement surgery this morning and as far as i'm told by my dad...she is doing ok...so if you can add my mom to your prayers as well....i won't get to visit her as i live in another city and with Rocket's needs i can't travel

I'm glad you are feeling better, Claudia. And maybe gaining weight and having a hearty appetite is a good thing for Rocket.
I will be keeping your mother in my prayers, for a speedy recovery, and to soon be visiting you.

I'm just coming on now Claudia--I was so shaken, I didnt want to even open a condo today--
BUT Just telling you I will say a prayer for you, Rocket, and Karrie AND your mother!--I am just heartsick, but after all, we all must go on...
Glad to hear that Rocket has fallen into a pattern now & is stable--I still feel Copper's lump in there, although vet said it needed no further attention, it's there ! You KWIM--
HUgs to you all--I always think of you & Rocket, the miracle cat that LL rejuvenated ;-) -God did that job!

Glad to hear that Rocket is enjoying his time on the balcony, Claudia... hoping you are back to normal soon! Keeping you guys in our thoughts and prayers...

i think the 3.5u is doing the trick with his numbers so we are staying at this dose for now....

i spoke with dad who just got back from the hospital visiting mom....he says she is in pain and groggy but otherwise the doctor said the surgery went well....i wished i could be there with her...it was the same when my dad had by-pass heart surgery 2 yrs ago and i couldn't go....but such is life...

it's been a strange afternoon for Rocket....i can tell he is tired...stayed out on the balcony a short time only...eating ok though...he even ate at +11 before pmps time...i was expecting a high ps number...

i still can't get over how much sorrow LL has been under lately....and i can't get over of the sudden death of Maverick...been crying off/on all day...

this may sound silly but i do feel guilty....and Keri (of Keri & Mowgli) pointed out that it is known as survivor's guilt...as you all know Rocket has been sick and it's a matter of time....but Maverick was fine...so the guilt comes from still having Rocket here with me and Karrie not having her boy with her....this is sad...and i'm sorry i feel this way...but i do...can't help it...i needed to vent a little...i know it may sound silly...but it's the way i feel...hope you guys understand me letting it out...

Hey (((Claudia))), There's nothing silly about the way you feel. It is perfectly normal to feel like that. But you also have to realize that Rocket is doing as well as he is because of your devotion to him and your hard work. I hope that you will have lots more quality time with your furbaby. I know that you treasure each day. Rocket is a lucky kitty.
Sending prayers and healing vines to your mom, Rocket, and you. Keep feeling better and better. How's Comet doing?
