Yesterday was.... downright ugly BG wise.... and appy wise.... both were a battle. oh my. Appy was an issue for amps and pmps. We eventually got the needed amount in him, with alot of encouragement. I know more juice would help him, maybe we can over the weekend when I can be there to monitor. I cannot rely upon him to eat, we miss alot of meals these days, and if I increase I must be here. Well we shall see how this pans out. In the meantime, I hope for a good day today, blues would be so cool! We are off to a great start this morning, even with a rotten appy. Mannie - here's to you, some very strong feel better, be blue vines. Lubs ya big guy! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand. Mannie said so! :-D :-D It was an ok day for Mannie, full of Mannie things. He got arounf ok, though it is markedly labored some of the time now. He did get some outdoor sniffs, through the slider door. No outsides though as it is raining really hard, and he's preferred to sleep in his bed. Took one look at all that wet and gave it his backside. :lol: after the sniffs of course. Sleeping has been between the nanner pile and his bed. He seems so at peace when he sleeps, one tends to forget the issues he has just getting from one place to another. Nicholas dished out the pets yesterday, each time telling Mannie that he should sleep. "Man-NIE sleep, see you later!" way too cute. LB is normal, Ketones tests have been negative. Test was good this morning, as was the shoot. :cool: Normalcy in MannieLand. :-D yes, it is normal. Mannie said so.

Have a great day everyone! Today is the last day of DGS duty this week. Today will be a swim day for Nicholas. WOO HOO! Back in the pool! Paws crossed on the weather, as I hope we can get some outdoor time too. I dunno... it looks rather wet out there..... I hope to visit condos when time permits, it is so tough to do while he is here. I will miss you guys! Think blue, think green kitties!

Hey Mannie,

How about the morning in the treehouse and then the afternoon here in NJ - it's sunny and 60! We can go diner hopping! There are lots of diners all over NJ and they have the bestest fuds ever! Breffis fuds, lunch fuds, milkshakes and more!

And when we finish eating we can go to the Aquarium! They have penguins and sharks, lots of fishies and a hippo that we can feed! Doesn't that sound like fun......

Oooh and then we can go back to my place and have a bed party! My bean would love to serve us yummy fuds and give us brushies and pets and we can take over her bed and get all comfy cozy.

Then we can spend the weekend in NYC! And we can go to Broadway and see CATS! Maybe we can sing and dance and be part of the cast! After all, we are already dressed. And I'll be they would love to have the BMG play there too.

Oooh this sounds like fun. Treehouse, diners, bed party and NYC! Wagon is locked and loaded and ready for fun.

I hope that Mannie's appetite will improve today and that his numbers will come back down. Too bad you have rain. The smart kitty doesn't care to go out in it, but it's always nice in his bed and in the nanner pile. Sweet that Nicholas is looking out for him and making sure that he gets his sleep.
Enjoy the pool this morning and hopefully the rain will stop and you and Nicholas will be able to get in a walk this afternoon.

Nicholas and I had a great time at the pool - THE FISH just had blast. The pool was packed, what with kids being out on spring break. Shesshhh he loved being able to play with the older kids. I will post some pics in Mannie's condo tomorrow.

Hi Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) It was such a god start this morning, and then BAM that +2 it, and he's been up there ever since... what a bummer. Yes on the Cowboy Cookout, well a qualified yes. I fed it the other night, that went well, but then he wouldn't touch it after that. SO hard to say I guess, Thx too on DGS - he seems to understand on Mannie. It has been a OK Mannie day, but he's been very quiet. Slot of sleeping to day.

It is a bummer, but we hope it will be better some the PM cycle. the BG's are a huge bummer too.... here I'd hoed for a nice blue maybe to yellow surf. silly bean! Yes on Mannie: no dummy - why get wet when you have a nice arm bed, and a ton of nanners. :-D I too thought it was very sweet of DGS to be watching out for Mannie.

Hi Michelle, I just looked at the pics of you and DGS's visit to the Seattle Aquarium and waterfront park! Those are some really awesome pics in the Acquarium and also of Seattle. I can see it was really raining. So cute with Little Bear. What a neat place to spend the afternoon when it's raining for DGS. Hope the weather holds out for today.

Oh my gosh ... I'm just getting to more condos and I saw "Mannie AMPS 181" and my jaw dropped! But rats then I saw the HIs again. But wow there was a nice dip in there. Hugs little Mannie guy, my favorite little barista and instigator of kitteh parties and fun. You da bestest!

I know on the need to bring down numbers with dosecrease, but when he won't eat, what the heck do you do?
I had that problem only once, and it still played with my mind.
I so admire how you are taking such good care of Mannie...and doing all this with grace. I admit I don't know what you're doing when you're alone, :roll: but I can't come here and be so gracious to everyone, when I'm upset, the way you do. I retreat into myself.
Michelle, I think you're amazing. But I've never made a secret of that. :-D

Michelle I'm sorry Mannie is doing more crazy bouncing. Hopefully he'll get back to blue again. Those pictures of the aquarium are great. It looks like DGS is really interested in everything.

HI @ PMPS. wow, not much I can say on that.... on a good note he ate we'll, unlike the nightmare that was this morning: such a beautify amps, and no interest in food: amazing that a kitty can spike like that with little food on board. Mannie, you are unique.... ;-)

Hi Ann - THX so much on the pics! They ho a good job at that Aquarium - I really enjoy going there. Nicholas does too. LOL: yes on the rain! I often take silly photos just like that - as a reminder what teh day was like. RAIN! and yes - it really is a great place to spend a rainy day. We often do. Weather was off and on today - so just the pool. He napped long, so we settled for the remainder of that afternoon reading stories, and coloring.

Hi Lisa - I know on that amps! I was elated to say the east, and then BAM! back to the new pattern. I so feel for him - these mega drops and bounces cannot be helping a body that already has such serious issues. SO we talk alot about it, about how he feels, gives out lots of pets and hugs and scritches. I agree: I think he is the best too - he handles all of this with a very stoic quiet demeanor. And some how manages to squeeze in all those parties. it was so great to see a blue today.

Hi Barb - you are to kind... but I thank you for it. It means alot. more than I can say. Thank you. I'm probably like most beans... have my good movements, and those were I fall apart. The time spent here for me, needs to be as I present it, light, fun, serious too, with a glimmer of hope for those dark days. Mannie deserves at least that much. I hope it relieve some of the stress and anxiety that all of us feel. I cannot thank you enough for what you wrote. --- and yupp on the dosecrease... this is so tough. I can see he needs more, but with morning like today,when the fuds was so minimal - what do you do. His eating interest will only get worse as what ails him progresses. Somewhere amongst it all I hope I can find a happy medium between illness, insulin, food and BG's and especially is overall comfort and happiness. dang we sure will try....

(((Michelle))) It was the best of days, it was the worst of days.... Looks like Mannie went diving overnight and reacted today. Thank goodness it's now the weekend. Paws crossed Mannie has appy enough tomorrow you can even think about an increase.

I second Barb on how well you manage to keep your composure in your condo, and even a sense of humor. You are a great example to me. Mannie has a very large fan club, all thanks to you Michelle.

Hi Wendy - oh that is so true! I think so. no sign of a dive when I went to bed, but I do believe you are right. I so hope on the weekend, guess we shall see how he does... and thank you! You guys are too kind. I thank you so much for what you wrote. It's the only way I know how to be, even with things being as tough and emotional as they are with Mannie right now. It's his legacy - it deserves to be a good one. He has always made life so wonderful, and fun. I hope I can do it justice.

It is truly amazing how you keep your composure, and your sense of humor, and I am sure that I speak for pretty much everyone on here that you're a true inspiration to us all.
