Doodles 4/4 Doodles continues to be king of the mile high club. I keep telling him the shore is better. New words of wisdom provided by Julie & Punkin..."be a tank, tanks always get where they are going". So I'm going to be a tank. Funny how when things are said in a certain way it seems to resonate.

The bug ate good this morning and continues to be on the end tables drinking out of our water cups:rolleyes: When he was younger this was a normal activity and we had water cups place all over the house in addition to his own bowls.

Sad days in L&LL. My heart goes out the Sandy & BK and Suki & Crystal. Vines and prayers to all in need.

This is good to hear. I love it when they return to normal activities. Sending prayers.

Dear Tank ~ so true about what resonates with us. :) Funny how we allow our fur baby's stuff to overtake our house. I can see those paper cups all over the place! One of my Siamese, Cecil, had his own stick of butter that I left on the counter for him to just help himself to. My mom came for a visit and make herself a piece of toast and used it. ;) PS : This DH broke all our cats of going on the counter. PSS: Die Antibodies Die!

That's funny about the buttered toast! Doodles has never been on the counter and only visits the kitchen table a few times a year. Civie Moo on the other had is a bad bad counter cat. She's black and our house in NJ had black kitchen counter tops. She'd lay be the drain board and scare the crap out of me because you didn't realize she was there. I tried to break the habbit but she has won...very bossy lil girl. When DH tells me to "toughen up" steam comes out of my ears and nose lol. It's all in the presentation of the same message....at least for me:) He can't help it...it's the cop in him. o_O

Well, DH doesn't know it, but early this AM +10.25 when I got up with Bubba, he jumped up onto my island ;) He knows not to do it when the Bubba Daddy is around.

I'm so glad Doodles eating well and returning to activities he enjoyed in his youth - that is just so awesome!

My cats own the house...the just let us pay the mortgage and live here. I gave up the counter battle years ago. I don't love having them on their, but dang they way too persistent!! Trying to keep them off was just not worth the stress and time.

Let's see some downward movement, OK, Doodles.....kick antibodies butt today, OK?

Well, Doodle, there are more fun things to be King of. Maybe you need to rethink this particualr choice!

Had to give up most of the counter battle when we brought two little jumping dogs into the house. Both Basil and Rosie were young enough then to sail up onto the island and look with disdain at the droolers below. (although they could get up there if they wanted, too, but knew better than to think they would get away with it.) Now, I can't even imagine! Rosie has to have homemade steps to even get up on the couch.

I so very much agree with this!! I am not crazy about it when Shoes gets up on the counter tops, but he is just being a cat and it's useless to try to keep them off because when someone is not there to watch them, that's where they will be! I have enough crap to stress over without adding natural cat behavior to it, LOL! A couple of years ago, I heard Shoes yowling and found him up on top of the kitchen wall cabinets next to the ceiling, before I had cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling. He had jumped there from the top of the fridge!

Good...good flat. Also good choice on the R. Paws crossed for DoodleTank which is my new name for him and if he gets sassy, I might add "Mc" at the beginning.

LBG loved almond butter. She didn't get on the counter in the kitchen where I do food prep but if I set my plate on the other counter or the table and I had toast with almond butter....beware. That little tongue could really get after it. About a month before she crossed, we had a dinner party and I had all the hors d'oeurves on the counter that she liked and she jumped up, looked at all the food, and her face clearly said for Baby Girl?!!!

That image of Gracie's facial expression sure made me smile! I know that she was a joy to you and that you must really miss her lots!

That is so sweet! If Doodles actually liked anything he'd get it but never ate people food except for a little cold cut ham and would lick a tiny bit of cream cheese. Otherwise, he sniffs and walks away to everything.

Thank you, Sandi. Yes....it was priceless because she had this innate ability to really have some great facial expressions; unlike any other kitty I’ve ever had. yes...she was the ultimate joy and I do miss her profoundly every single second.

Karen....I’ve been looking at his SS and wondering, depending on how he does this morning with the R, if we perhaps want to think about giving it again at +7 (again, depending on what he does this morning and where he is at +7) and then depending on that result, look at p.m. +2 if you can manage giving it that late. Of course, this is all just a very tentative plan but he seemed to set up better for PMPS with a +7 or so R shot and stayed nice and flat with the p.m. +2 the other night. We might need to tweak it depending on what he does today, but look at his SS and see what you think.

I tend to agree. He didn't eat his lunch very good but honestly he at like a moose most of the morning so it doesn't surprise me. Plus I'm out of the wet food he's been eating best but more should be here today or tomorrow the latest. I'll see what he is @+7 and decide what R to give him. The R @ PM+2 is fine.

Perfect.

Years ago, I fostered a litter of kittens that grew up in the parking lot behind a pizza place (Bruno's Pizza) and they were obsessed with people food in general, but pizza in particular. I named the three of them Bruno, Pizza and Saucy. Here's a video of Pizza trying to steal my pizza... and he was barely weaned at that point:

Moo eats pizza, bread or tries too. - lol. The video didn't come through :(

Too cute, love the way he is so determined to climb up your leg, that pizza slice was bigger than him!LOL

George was a rescue and he is partial to Thai Chilli and Curry, goodness knows what he lived off before he came to us, if only they could talk:)

Happy to hear he's acting like his old self and eating well too. Sometimes it's the little things like that which are just as important as the numbers on a spreadsheet. You guys are always in my thoughts :bighug:

Neither Boomer nor Allen get up on the counter much although Boomer does if I leave his auto feeder up there and it opens. Allen only gets up there when Boomer is chasing him!
Both of my guys stand on either side of us wanting people food when we're eating. But Allen won't eat it when it's given to him . Boomer though would eat everything but because there were so many foods that could affect his BG we've pretty much broken him of the habit. He may get a bit of chicken or beef if there is no sauce etc. Other than that, I just get his treats down and give him one or two.

Good news I think. I'm getting the Lasik compounded into the same chewy treats! Hopefully it will stop these major spikes from the shots and it's 2 less needles a day being stuck in my little bug. He doesn't like when I open his mouth to insert the Enalapril but gets over it quickly. Should have it in a day or two.
That is great news!!!! Hope he loves them and that they do the job!!

Nice work on the pinks Doodles!

I used to have a cat who had glasses of water all over the house too. She would stick her lil face into the glass, and if there wasn't much in there it looked super-funny to see her face all screwed up trying to fit :-)

Sending vines for Doodles. Karen you doing great job caring for Doodles and I hope that soon you will see good results.

Prayers and lots of vines.
