This is a sad day, with the passing of Maverick. My thoughts and prayers are with Karrie today.

Checkers started out the day, as usual. He woke me at +9, last night/morning.
I'm noticing that his amps is normally a little lower when he eats at that time.
He ate breffis with some enthusiasm, and is napping now, after seconds on breffis.

Our hearts are also breaking for karrie on the loss of maverick .. how very sad ..

I'm liking checkers numbers so far today! Maybe that snack at +9 is something you could do each day to see if it is really helping his morning numbers? Hope you guys have a great day!

Morning guys! Nice start Checkers! Love those blues amps. :-D :-D Interesting on the +9 snack - you should experiment with that and see if it does indeed bring in a lower amps. It sure seems to have worked for today. YAY!!

Have a great day today. I hope your weather is better. Still more snow? any signs of spring? I keep hoping....

Great start to the day and not too fast either. Surf now Checkers!

We were giving Tess the +9 snack for a long time and it did seem to work . We many go back to it when we get her really low again.

Checkers isn't holding those greens for long. He did however, eat more than usual at +3, so we could be seeing a food spike. Not that I"m complaining about the nice blues. :smile:

What a difference the headlamp makes. It is so easy to see the tiny blood droplet on the grey fur now, that I don't have to knead a big drop, just to see it.
I can even do it without my reading glasses.

Anything that makes testing easier is awesome in my book! I sometimes feel I got really lucky having a white kitty. So easy to see the capillaries and such, never mind the blood.

I'm interested to see how that +9 snack works out. I haven't tried that yet, at least not intentionally. Sometimes if Chaos cries like his heart is breaking, I give him a late-cycle nosh, but not often.

I haven't done the +9 intentionally. I found out from sleeping in living room, that Checks plays during the wee hours.
I get a kick out of watching him at play.
When he sees me awake, he talks to me, until I feed him Each time I've done that, his amps has been lower than usual.

Yesterday I woke to the sound of water splashing, and thought I must have left water in the dishpan, soaking cat food dishes.
Fearing he'd come across a knife, I ran to check, only to find he'd been playing in a glass of water on the counter. :lol:
That boy loves to play in water. :-D

That is cute with Checkers splashing the water. It reminds me of my GA kitty. Any time I left a glass of water on a table, he would stick his head in it and have a drink! Good luck with the snack at +9 and see if it makes a difference.

oh too fun with the glass of water... gosh that brings back memories of years ago and a kitty I had that would do that too. We'd always leave a glass out for her. :lol: :lol:
